ARCHIVE Bringing back the York OBA bracket and pulley kit!

Your current options for air are:
Nearest gas station- so good luck being close enough when you need one.
Bumming air off your trail buddies- hopefully you have friends with at least one of the following:
CO2 bottle- What a few of has have/had but its kind of a pain to get it filled now. The plus side is you can move it around as needed.
Puma or Viair compressor- Takes up a whole lot of room and is noisy as FAWK! That being said, if you have a tank this is a good way to go.
MV50 or Pep Boys equivalent- Cheap as dirt but seems to work if you are willing to wait.
York OBA- true On Board Air system that will last as long as the truck does. Infinite amounts of air without ever running out...so long as the truck is running. Don't need a tank but the tank does help things.

Hey HEY! dont forget about us twin arb compressor folks!

Nice piece of kit though, we have a few ONSC members in the clubhouse that would definitely be interested, ill post up a link there (followed from TLCA)

Ok I am In. I already have a good compressor but this looks great!

Subscribed, interested. Not committed. I was within days of ordering a Puma off of Ebay and already have the mount for it.

But damn good work on a needed item.

Was talking with a local mudder and he brought over his Puma and was thinking about mounting and wiring and such. He brought up the unibtainium York kit. That's when I detailed everything to him. He's also finding himself in a tough spot because he'd just bought this stuff but he feels like he's settling. York may change things for him.

I am in. Would you include the pulley for the YORK itself or will you let us know which one to source.

When are we going to talk coalescing filters and check valves and electric clutches and hooking up Freight Train Horns and Stealing wheels with an impact? I'm all for On-Board, but wife is not on board.

Is there a way to retain the PAIR by relocating the PAIR? This is for those that emission test, its needed to pass visual inspection of test.

Previous another thread which may help:
"I've done a bit of research relating to nixing or relocating the PAIR valve. My preference would be to keep it and relocate ala a one off relo bracket and fabbed tubing and flanges, all of which would be copies the stuff that came with the pre-1995 TRD supercharger kits for the 1FZ. I am sure there would be near nil for actual demand but if you had anything on the drawing board or a prototypical thing going on, I would be all ears. Seems not too difficult, but well, I know how that goes."

No need to supply the pulley for the York since they seem to all come with the pulley. The vast majority of Yorks are 6" with the double pulley. If memory serves you need the double pulley because its the outer pulley that the new water pump pulley drives. The 7" pulleys also work but need a different size belt that I don't supply.

I wanna I wanna!!! I'm REALLY bummed this isn't for me :crybaby:

It all depends how long it takes to at least 15 people to jump on the bandwagon. The pulley time is about two weeks and the bracket I've been told about three weeks because its one guy that does the laser table and another that does the welding (btw this is going with a completely difference shop than what I've been using for the rest of my stuff). Then everything comes back to me so I can have all of the coatings done and wrapped for shipping. I don't want issues of damaged parts because someone other than me is mixing aluminum with steel in one box.

Cool, was just wondering due to my impending move to the east coast. PM me if you need a deposit.

Get the York 209 "Super Compact" mini compressor instead of the 210. It is 1 inch shorter and 1 inch slimmer in width for tight situations and has about 90% of the displacement of the 210. It uses the same mounting holes. It is a little harder to find. Comes on Saabs, Audis, Mercedes and some Volvos and maybe others too. Google York 209 images for a comparison.

i love the york. ran an air impact without a tank with my old set (jeep Cj-7 crawler) up when needed. made for some easy away repairs. would typically fill 4-5 vehicles tires every time I went out and amazed everyone with speed.

Dang it!!!!

One of the ARB at Joey's is mine and I also MIGHT have engine swaps in the distance future so at least I do t feel that bad about not going the York pump route.

Btw for those folks like me with the twin compressor Joey is working on something for us......I can't kicks his ass to move fast enough! Voice your demands too so we can get our mounts too!

You already know I'm in.

Just to clarify, this will work with the dual battery setup. Correct?!
