The guy’s formula for the similar to Evaporust but better solution is -
1 liter water (distilled?)
100 g Citric acid
63 g Baking soda
Dish soap (a couple squirts)

Anyone know if fuel sending unit for 73+ for a 40 will work on the 74 55 tank?
Cruiser outfitter and city racer doesn’t show 55 specific unit that I can see.

I would guess yes since the tank depths are similar.
I apologize I have a ton of stuff going on and don't check here as much as I used to.
Vinegar is for cooking/pickling and also has a low PH....
Anything with a low PH will in theory will remove rust....
We live in the 21st century and have so many wonderful products developed specifically to do what you are asking like Evapo-Rust or any homemade version.
The Goggle machine has lots of info or just buy Evapo-Rust.... Vinegar would be my last choice ..
For those of you that still believe Vinegar is a good choice for your rusty gas tank I support you and believe you should pour gallons in your tank and then follow up with a heathy dose of baking soda... Hell you can even pour them both in at the same time. I love this hobby and I'm not pooping on any long held beliefs;.

I’m not biggest fan of googling, lots of BS out there. One small issue with living in rural area with small town is the lack of products like this.
Monday when I go back to the big city I’ll garage some time out to find some of this.

thank you sir! Gonna take Bonnie out of commission until I can get a few things done.
Throttle body Cable seems to be too long, I want it to be easier for the wife to drive. Needs some rear tailgate seals. Ordered a couple lower psi fuel pumps and will check pressures after new one in place.
Need to fix the leaking pump.
Although I need to hurry, weather gonna be perfect for some full time driving starting this week. So I may have to brake down in stages so we can continue to enjoy her.

Makes so much sense to enjoy it when you have the options in place. Since April I have recuperated better with this knee replacement and it has robbed me of so valued time for too many projects. Once I actually start some bigger maintenance items I don’t see it back on the road until early spring. I need to live to 95 in order to get every thing on my lists completed…Sunday near 80. The rest of the week…50’s and 35-40 nights. Weird weather

I’d take rain over anything right now. Have to make most of it though. Had dozer fella come out this morning to start working on front pond by house which needs some work, gonna double size and depth.
Going to Stock it well and by the time my kids have kids we’re going to have some darn good fishing!

Not gonna do it, easier while I wait on some parts for weather to just hang it up outside and go to town spraying it.
We have quite a bit of our stuff inside shop as we move out of the trailer. Hate to get spray anywhere. Although if winds not cooperating next week I’ll throw some plastic down. Plenty to do around here today on tractor with brush hog so no big deal to wait some.

Going with the Evapo rust. Oreillys has three 5 gallon buckets coming tomorrow.
Looks like it can reused so it will definitely be helpful around here in the future for awhile.
Tanks sprayed twice, will clean inside tomorrow.
Filler neck attachment to old tank isn’t cooperating and it’s last attachment to drop old tank.
Appropriate fuel pump gonna be installed after lunch.
Probably tackle throttle cable also.
Think I need to update some shocks, anyone have some good proven recommendations?

Another mudder has had great results with the Ironman foam cell shocks. Anyone have experience with these?

What kind of fuel pump? Tank looks great! Might be doing that next, but it aint going back in. Think I found New OE tank, will know Monday.
I keep a gal. around here for any rust job, works great. Don't leave it open to air, it will disappear.

Ended up finding Carter external pump designed for TBI applications with psi 9-20. Also cheaper than other options.

So, if any of you who have wrestled the tank out from under a pig find your self in a situation where a baby has to be delivered, the baby is quite a bit easier.
I considered doing a pig c section but couldn’t figure how without blowing myself up.
