Some companies make a knock light kit which light up on the dash when pinging is occurring. Can be nice if you have slight pinging that is tough to hear or loud tires or exhaust where pinging is difficult to hear but still allows monitoring of pinging.
Thanks for input, I have heard of them, it might be worth looking into. Do you know if they work off existing sensor or do I add another.

Thank you for the recommendation.

can you post an installed pic for figment?

howdoes it disassemble for cleaning? Do you have to fully remove to get it apart?
Is there a sight window or indicator of fullness? Or do you just have to guess?
If I can find a pic ill post one up. I put it ins the rear passenger corner so that I could drain it without having to remote it. The lid had an o-ring'd dip stick built in. The lid can be unbolted and clocked any direction and all parts can be pulled apart and cleaned.

Found my pics.

Well... I may not be able to sleep in the house anymore but I will at least be able to say I can sleep in a Turbo LC.
:flipoff2:

Guess I should probably start a build thread as well...🤔

Absolutely do it!
I keep meaning to do a write up with all my pictures but haven't gotten to it.

Exhaust appt at 130 today. Hopefully goes smooth welding up to a 2 year old magnaflow replacement.
The 7 mile drive to the exhaust shop is gonna be nerve wracking. gonna be goin 40 in the slow lane trying to stay outta boost with the exhaust dumping out of the downpipe!

If I have one, both of you need one even more. My entire thread is basically "durr I bought this thing from Joey then screwed it onto my truck." Absolutely earth shattering and compelling content

Well, is the exhaust done and are you driving it? Inquiring minds need to know..... Bored.......

It is! the downpipe adapter and exhaust didnt want to line up (magnaflow replacement if it makes a difference) so he bent up a new pipe and was done in 40 minutes. Cost $99.18.
Haven't driven much yet due to lockdown in WA but hoping to go on a drive tomorrow to stretch its legs and see how it does.
Need to get my 14-1 gauge set up this weekend too.

Engine bay. Have since replaced the catch can hoses with fuel line.

Oil inlet was leaking quite a bit. Snugged as tight as i could get it which wasn't comforting, but we'll see if that does it.

Colors coming through on the SS. I didn't coat or wrap... hopefully doesn't bite me in the ass.

The color looks just fine.

Can you show a closeup pic of how you mounted your catch can? Did you end up going with a vibrant or some other model?

Yep wasn't worried about it. I like watching the steel change color over temp ranges.

Ended up just using the one I had on the shelf. Cheapo Amazon one with fine steel wool inside to catch vapor. I'll snap some photos in a bit. Only running from pcv to intake. Didn't route the other hose through it. Still debating that.

I meant the mounting bracket...looks like you bolted it to the side of the intake.

Oh yeah, my bad. Read that too quick. I just slotted the included mounting bracket and have it on the manifold ground bolt. I'll get some pics this evening.

I'll be waiting for pictures. I just got my oil catch can and been looking at ideas for where I want to put it. I like where yours is at.

Can i see a pic of the area where the bellhousing connects to the downpipe band clamp deal? I messed up and didn't install that band before the DP blanket. Everything is in the engine bay so I'm thinking i'll have to remove that DP, undo the blanket and install the band clamp. :bang:

edit: made contact with @Wompom, got pics and yeah, that DP is coming back out and then in and then out and .......:bang: Looks like the bracket needs to be bent 90deg in order to connect to the bellhousing oem bracket.

Hopefully these pics will help others. I stole some pics from @spyduh's turbo build thread as well.

Here's how my bracket ended up being. The slotted part is attached to the bellhousing bracket and it allowed for easy adjustments (left/right).
