I'm too tired after a combined ~16 hours to detail the install (I'll do that later). So, here is the end (almost) result. I still have to move the license plate and wire the lamps.

I see a lot of lumber in the photo ..... Tell me you weren't using wood shims.

The backup lamps are contained within the tail lamps. If you are looing at the "circle" below the spare tire that is a Kamar emblem.

That's a shame.

Asymmetry is pleasing to me, and that would be a fantastic spot for nice bright backup light.

The bumper is very thick and I am not thinking I want to cut that big a hole in it close to the mounting bracket. I can tell you those multi-voltage (10-30v) led lamps are pretty damn bright.

Are the swing outs attached to the doors ? Need more pictures.... looks great.

They attach to spindles on the bumper. They are supported by two roller bearings in each spindle. Nothing touches the doors.

I did not get very far last night. I got the existing bumper off the truck and made the cuts necessary on the Kamar in order to get it to clear the 74 spring mounts. I also painted the cut areas. I did get some pics but I have not had a chance to download them.

Hmmmmm... Say what now? I have one of these sitting waiting to go on my '89 BJ74.... However, I was under the impression it was direct bolt on. :-/ Please detail all that was involved as soon as you can--I am wanting to throw mine on ASAP.... If it's a big bunch of fab, I may just pass on it...It's quite a big price tag to then have to mod it a bunch....
