No tuffy console. I drove it around yesterday, it was mostly out of the way. When i take it off road that will be the real test for me.
I'm having some electrical gremlins mess with my windows, central lock and stereo. Happens after every rain. I'm out of town for the week so I won't see my rig till the weekend.

Pre big bend camping check.
Loaded up the rtt, the bbq pit and ice chest. Gonna take my son , dog and lady to the lake for and overnight trip.

Thanks guys. We're staying at a lake near the house. Doing a systems check if you will before taking the long trip next week.

Sweet! Y'all are set up real nice!

Good call on the system check. I always forgot something or bring crap I don't need. I stuck in California until the day before we leave for Big Bend. I already know my packing job will suck.

System check already paying off. Had to drill the holes for the extension ladder. That would have sucked to realize it at big bend.
Having cold beer steak and salmon

My two best buds.

Took a hike with the fam. It Was good to walk a real trail with diesel. He saw the lake and ran to it .

On my way back i met a few guys who grew up in the middle east. They thought i had a hino in the engine bay. Asked if i would sell it. Said No, but they gave me their cards in case i change my mind.

On the technical side of things. I still have some electrical gremlins. They come and go, but get more frequent when it rains.

this is at lake Georgetown at Russel Park. It was the first time I went there. It would have been great to kayak, but there's no way to transport the rtt and kayak.

Where there is a will, there is a way:)

True. Need to save up for a trailer. My other dog Pearl she loves to kayak with us. Diesel is way too large.

Had a long day in the cold this morning. Austin had two fake bomb threats which threw my plans for the day. Spent some time talking to the guy until the situation was diffused and they realized there were no actual explosives. Decided I was gonna reward myself with a light bar for the trip to big bend. Instead ended up buying some Mickey mouse looking headlights because i couldn't beat the price. Installed it and I'm waiting for tonight to adjust them.
First, the bomb robot.

I know it's not pretty but it's bright and functional.

Did they come with a relay.. or did you add one or an inline fuse?

J

I know a thing or two about bright ugly lights haha. Trucks looking saweet!

thanks for looking out J. Yeh like I said I got a good deal, free installment and all the parts with it. That's what talked me out of a light bar.
