Been slaking as of later. Finally talked with the machine shop. Everything is good to go except for the balancing. They will have it ready next week.

Very quite, you go Color Blind![]()
Did your machine shop resize those rods?..... doesn't look like it to me.....
... machinist around here only charge about 8 bux a rod.....
See those black markings on the rod bore (where the bearings fit)? worn, loose fitting bearings causes that.... its good practice to have them resized on any major rebuild.... I have a fresh set at the shop, if you want I'll get you a pic tomorrow of what they should look like...anyway , you have a lot of $$ invested here I would go and get done... machinist around here only charge about 8 bux a rod.....
That's what mine cost here in KC.

By that you mean they make them bigger. Wouldn't this mean you would have to get bigger rod bearings?
good to hear you did..... I would be a little worried on Trolls balance job also..... see the differences in #1 and #2 rods in the pic?
But I didn't have my s*** balancedShould'a

If it would make you feel like a Man, Yes..... otherwise No!.......
I might have missed the fact.... but Troll, if you didn't have the harmonic balancer, flywheel and clutch included in the balancing act, ask your machine boys about that as well........ common practice with most folks to do so cause if they are out of whack, just defeats the purpose of the whole mess....![]()

Question
#2 bearing. Is there one hole that should not line up to a passage?

I remember something about the oil passage to the head going through a cam bearing. Have you gotten an answer to your question yet?
Cool pics.
