Guys. A little update: I received my PhD (Mechanical Engineering - Robotics), finally, this May. I am relocating to Michigan (Rochester Hills, north of Detroit) and starting my first real job as product development and research engineer early September. Sorry for not replying emails in a prompt manner. Don’t need to resend. I will get to each email or PM. I am still taking orders but in a slower pace since most of my printers are packed up. I am going to move all my 3d print equipment with me and set them up in the week of Aug 22nd.
Awesome news Ben!

Greetings also from Australia. I have sent you a pm as I would like to place an order with you :)

Hey Ben, do you have an overhead mount for the SPOD digital screen or any mount at all?

- Mark

Now I just need you to buy a 2.5 gen Tundra so I can get awesome 3d accessories for my new ride!

Just FYI it sounds like Ben is doing some work-related travel/temporary relocation which may cause some delays.

I had an order in and paid, and he initiated a refund and let me know he could collect payment again when he's back.

I was not in a rush and just figured a package would show up at some point, but thought it was classy to proactively refund the amount because of the delay.

I'm glad you got your money back but I find this falls short of classy. Classy would be Ben direclty providing an update of his situation and intensions on this thread. How long would that take, maybe 5 minutes. JMHO.

Congratulations Doctor on your huge accomplishment!

I am back at my base.

I am going to reply your emails one by one. I have 75 messages and about the same amount of emails. I am sorry.

Production will resume shortly!

Just printed 50 M2V2 brackets and will send to @suprarx7nut. Hit him up if you want the blank panel RAM mount.

I set the listing to accept just 10 orders while I await those brackets and I think we got all 10 orders in a couple days. I'll open this back up shortly and get this offering flowing again. I'll try to give an early heads up as inventory dwindles so we can keep this available more reliably.

No need to apologize, we're just glad you're pumping out some printed materials!

Life happens, welcome back and many of us that acquired 100 series since the change are patiently waiting. How about a quick update on the new job and how it is working out. Able to apply your skills?

I am now in the engineering career rather than the previous scientist road. I have been learning how to read and make engineering drawings lol in both ANSI and ISO standards. I needed to learn how to talk to machinists that I had never done in universities. I have never dealt with a single machine with like millions of parts and hundreds of engineers, purchasers...working in sync or chaos.

Managers have been nice to me. A senior staff engineer approached me asking "OK, you have a PhD. We let you work on engineering drawings. Are you OK?" I replied " Yes, for now. (lol) I don't pray for an easy job. I pray for the strength to work on challenges." I need to write this down lol. Anyway, I have been trying my best to apply my skills in analytical modeling and finite element analysis.

After leaving my previous lab, I still have conversations with my PhD advisor on academic issues. Still offer training on necessary lab skills for new students.

Wife, after going through a major health crisis, is gradually recovering from the pain, anxiety, and worry. Her body may not be the same anymore due to the surgeries and medical treatment. But I can feel she is a stronger and bigger person now. I am happy for my university-to-engineering transition, and happier for her.

Above all else, I'm glad to hear she's recovering, at least to some degree. I think it's impossible to appreciate good health until it's taken from you.

Funny to hear you talk about doing drawings as a PhD. I worked so hard to get my simple bachelor's in mechanical engineering and then worked in industry for... I guess 13 years now. The hardest technical things I've done in my career were probably on par with high school physics. The degree was just practice I guess, lol.

Anyways, glad you're back online for now and please tell your wife a bunch of strangers wish her well!
