I tried to use Topology optimization on the bracket to reduce weight while maintaining a minimum stiffness and toughness. Topology optimized parts usually can achieve a good stiffness/weight ratio and have an organic look (like bones).

Dude... YES! I have been wanting a way to mount some lights in that exact spot.

Do you think there's any possibility of a design that could allow for the spoiler to remain in place?
I believe you can mount Rigid lights using the steel brackets come with the lights beneath the original bracket.

I agree. I'll order this if I see someone has successfully used this with an OEM spoiler. Post pics if someone can get it done.

Is there a bracket that will let me mount lights under the whale tail type spoiler? I put light on my Gamiviti rack but the spoiler blocks it from getting down where I need it.

Is there room to add a rocker switch on each side of the Make 35: Switch Pros SP-9100? Specifically it would be great to have a microphone mount either using the rocker mount or other.

Rather then mount large lights. Consider making a mount for small scene lights like these. I currently run 2 pairs on each side on my rack. The are intensely bright...more then enough to light the surrounding work areas

Yes. This is a quick mockup.

Great looking. Would be a buyer if you finalize. I am torn because with the switch pros you don’t really need another rocker switch. One side would be a microphone. What could you do to the other side? Or do you leave with dual rockers to keep it symmetrical? Maybe just put in a dummy rocker - label it “eject”

Got my cup holder in the mail the other day. This thing looks legit!!

Before I install it I wanted to ask. Is anyone sanding it smooth or painting it? @BenCC do you have any recommendations here?

I did with the Scangauge mount. It was quite a bit if work with all of the edges and corners. I think the progression was 400 to smooth, coat of glazing putty, then 600, then 800, filling primer, 800 again, then paint. I don’t think I’ll bother with the cup holder.

You can try to wet sand with #100, #200, #400, and #800 sandpaper’s.

Thanks all! I might try wet sanding one of the hidden faces first to see what I think. Good to know it’s not noticeable once installed though.

It looks like it's for the hole you have if you remove the multi-disk dvd player from later model LCs and LXs.
