Boy I have put off saying anything about my experience but I need some help from the hive mind. I sent over $650 worth of parts including a warn winch to a guy named Paul Tilliman with East Coast Cruisers in New Jersey. He's got a white FJ45 and sent a picture with the winch installed. He has a friend that has a pair of yellow doors that I wanted for my 40. I sent him $700 to go with the $650 he owed me for the parts. He promised to send me the doors and then just stopped responding after a while. My number is blocked. Someone knows this guy or maybe his friend with the doors? I'm happy to share his address and phone number if someone can help me. I'm a retired disabled guy trying to put my cruiser back together and can't afford this nonsense.

Sad. Some people are just a waste skin. I try hard to buy local or from real companies just because of issues like this.
There is a place up top to post looser's so perhaps other folks will not get screwed by this dead beat.

I hate letting stuff like this go but stress is the biggest killer there is.

These
If you are on here and have these doors please let me know if Paul has them

I'm too trusting

Someone close to him has to know who he is. Seems like a good guy but can't understand what he is doing. I'm going to post his address and phone number if I don't hear from him. I have some ex military friends in the area that might help. I'm looking into airline tickets to New Jersey. I can't let this go.

Yeah I have the UPS shipping label for the s*** I sent him. I'm having trouble wrapping my head around this. His friend has lots of cruiser pants and probably doesn't realize that I am being screwed

I do all my business on a handshake, literally. And that’s how I want to keep it.
I would encourage you to be patient, the thing you’re asking could take a while to get to him through these channels. Continue to give him to benefit of the doubt, and when you decide to stop doing that, don’t talk about it on here or anywhere.

The guy stopped responding and blocked him. He's not getting his parts.

i wouldnt even waste the time or effort to fly over here.
a quick google search turned up nothing on an east coast cruisers, in connection to land cruisers.
i doubt that paul is even his real name
post the address you sent the parts too....and the phone number.
unfortunately you got bamboozled

Does he frequent this site? You should be able to do a property search for the address you shipped to, to find the land owners name. 1st find the county the town is in, then get on that county auditors website and property search the address. If he's not the owner, I'd guess the owner knows him. Make his life a living hell.

The good old days of Pirate4x4 would have some boys over there asking questions! Charlie Wenzel.

Have your reached out to local clubs in the area that you sent parts to? Not sure I would fly in. Check with local authorities and report in the thread above about bad sellers. Good luck.

For a kindergarten type search you might try this:

Go to Gaia or OnX type GPS apps. With their Premium subscriptions you can locate a address & then find the actual name of the land owner.

I’ve used this part of their apps…never in anger…just messing around & have found it to be accurate. Found my own address, pushed the button and my own name popped up as the legal owner.

Might be worth a try??

Through what site was contact made? And who initiated it?

Use this stuff all the time for my work.
One called LandGlide is pretty good, but OnX hunt comes close for nearly no money.
For free, most counties have GIS websites with some owner info.

Maybe there’s a way we can channel our inner Pirate4x4 selfs and hassle him online?
