I ordered a set of rock rails from 12 Degrees North back in January. When they processed the order they said they would call around to get me the best freight quote they could find and bill me separately for the freight. They got me the freight quote a few days later and I paid it right away. They said it would take up to 6-12 weeks for the rails to ship. After I paid they were a lot less responsive. They didn't respond to email at all and would occasionally return a phone call. At 12 weeks they still had no idea when they would ship. At 16 weeks they couldn't promise anything but it could be any day. At 20 weeks they said it was a manual effort to check and they were short staffed but they would get back to me they never did. A few weeks later I asked for a refund and to cancel the order. They never cancelled the order or refunded anything and went totally dark. I was able to dispute the charge with my credit card company. They gave them a couple months to respond but when they received no response they closed the dispute and refunded my money. I noticed a couple similar stories on the web during this time.
