Does anyone know if the rear axle from an FJ 80 Landcruiser, having the diff. offset to the passenger side, would work under an 85-95 mini truck or 4runner? If so, I assume that it would require a fuel cell instead of the stock gas tank. Would the driveshaft running at an angle, left to right, work?

Anyone with information may contact me via my email at "bessary@sunarchitectural.com."

Thanks,
Brady

Don't know, but I believe the axle under a 100-series is centered.

Not the best idea in the world..

Front or rear? I thought most of the 80 series Cruisers had centered diffs in the rear. If not, then don't bother. Find a centered rear with disks/full floater, bolt it up and go. But then I'd also suggest putting the matching front axle in as well. I think there's a 5" difference in width between the IFS rear axles and the Cruiser rears...

Would need some measurements to be sure, but the uni's work in an angle up and down, so side to side is no different, just not seen very often.
