So I’ve been fixing up a 1993 LJ71 and got to the point where I was doing a lot of body and sheet metal work on it and decided I’d never be happy messing it up it up off-road. So I traded it (even) for a Pickup that I won’t have to worry about.

This is my “new” 1986 Pickup, it’s got a 5.3 SM465 and a NP205. Toyota front axle that’s trussed, Chevy 63s, rear axle out of a Tacoma with e locker with a cable kit. 5.29s. On 38s but should do OK with 40s if the axles hold up. The front has 6 shooters and some unknown axle shafts.

I’m getting a new driveshaft made. The LS needs tuned and I’m going to strip the interior and rewire a lot of it. It’s done pretty well but could be cleaner. I also want to get the heater core plumed and blower working. The frame is immaculate. No rust. Was a Cali truck I was told.

Taking color input. I’m thinking dark gray raptor liner. Here’s some pics.

Looks pretty mean. I like all the color options you posted. The black looks good but that would be 3rd degree burn territory where I live. Looking forward to your build.
Good point. I think a good medium silver raptor liner would be best. With no AC I don’t want to cook in it. I’m in. Virginia but it still gets hot here.

I’m going to put fenders on it but not fixing any body damage. It’s in decent shape just some in the B pillars and doors.
