Looks very nice!
Curious, why the bumper sits lower than the stock one?

Thanks for this, it'll be a great reference!

And you do excellent work!

D, I have a hammock option for these bumpers and the poles will clamp down behind the swing arm. Just gives me room elsewhere.

I can easily pull this bumper up about 1.5"... if the customer does not want that option.

This is going to be a fully loaded rear with all the goodies.

I was wondering the same thing. Does your red truck have a body lift? Our wagon's fat tails tend to drag and any clearance we can get is helpful.

J can I get a visual on these discs? Are they all electric grinder or air tool attachments?

Here you go Danny,

L to R (all 4.5" and 5" angle grinder)

hard disc, tiger/flapper, zip... etc.., and flex disc.

Cheers,

J

Bare with me here.. several pics of todays progress...

Got the swing arms bent, swing arm stops, tire carrier w/upper plate and ladder bent and rails notched...

YES!! I allow for a 1/8"-3/16" of travel on the tire carrier side.. The DS is slightly higher and later in the build you will see this asd LEVEL... My 37" and steel wheel are HEAVY, weigh in at 117#s and will sag a swing arm slightly.... Spindles and hub are adjusted accordingly..

I hope to finish this up Monday or Tuesday... This weekend is all about my trailer build, smoked BBQ and BEER!...

Fricken awesome! I love it!

Are you saying the tire-side swingarm is pointed outward a little to allow for flex? How many degrees off 90, etc?

Dan, yes.. I will measure the exact degree for you but when the swing arms are rested against the stop I want approx an 1/8" height difference between the two..

When the tire is added it is a ZERO.. and glides into the stop cradle perfectly...

preloading.

slotting with an angle grinder leaves much to be desired in the tools department, huh?

Great thread, especially for a newb like myself who was in the market for some heavy duty bumpers.

A few months ago when I was looking, it seemed like ARB was the only game in town. I couldn't be happier after dealing with Jason. I can personally attest to the high quality of his work and products. Best of all, his customer service is second to none.

If you want some new armor on your rig, don't hesitate to call him.
