Any up-to-date info about PACOL? (1 Viewer)

Spector off road has quarters with top rail. CCOT has 3/4 quarters and full quarters without top rail. I have used ccot's stuff, it is well made and fits right.

I had a terrible experience over a set of wheel wells back in 2013.... same thing as all of you had reported... I pestered all phone numbers for about 6 months... I was able to get some traction at the email address below... not sure if they still use it though... below as an email that got her final attention... she replied back with they will be shipped tomorrow, sure enough they were... honestly, I think I got lucky...

the funny thing that I found when I got the package it was from Bogata, Columbia sent to a place in Buffalo where I then pick it up to bring to canada as it is much cheaper... I recall this really well because I remember seeing the label, from columbia, no way in hell am I going over the board with this until I open it up, after all I have been through to get the panels, all I needed was to get pinched for drug smuggling in trying to get them home... LOL... I searched the address over google and did a street view of it, looked like a warehouse. I never got a reply from them on why they came from Bogata...

Never again will I order from them... CCOT, Real Steal, even the high prices at SOR are way better than this..

What is going on with my wheel well order? You said you were going to ship them out last friday and I have heard from you since then. Did they go out, if not why? Please send me a tracking number.

If this doesn't get resolved this week I am filing a claim to paypal for concern resolution to get my money back. I will also post my experience on I8mud which gets a lot of attention. I am extremely disappointed in Pacol and you personally for all the stringing along you are doing with me. My next step after that will be to go to the better business bureau and file a claim with them. I am honestly getting the feeling I am being ripped off and you are stealing from me.

Let's get these wheels shipped so I can move on please.

UPDATE:

So, it's been nearly 3 months since I placed an order for quarter panels for my '78 FJ40. PACOL was extermely frustrating to work with. They continued to state that the order was either shipped, being shipped, being packed, incorrectly manufactured, etc. There was a 2 week period where they didn't answer any questions or respond to any email, or react to Facebook comments. So many excuses.
A month ago, I decided to take actions to get them to either ship the parts or refund my money. I initiated three things to get this started:
-filed a complaint to PAYPAL
-filed a complaint to the attorney general of Florida
-filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau

To make a very long story short:
-the Better Business Bureau has listed the complaint about PACOL on their web site
-The attorney general of Florida forwarded my complaint to PACOL (PACOL did not respond to the AG of Florida). The AG could not do any more since PACOL did not respond
-the complaint to Paypal forced PACOL to finally issue a full refund.

On November 23rd, I changed gears, and decided to try ordering the parts from TROA. Their prices were comparable. The experience with dealing with TROA was significantly different from dealing with PACOL. I'll post something soon that outlines my experience with TROA.

What phone number did you file your complaint with the BBB under? I'll be filing with them soon. I find it interesting that the AG can be "stiff armed" by simply not replying.

You're right about the AG. In fact, they turned over my complaint to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service. They were not much help to me, but maybe their actions will help someone else. I don't mind posting their exact response. Here it is:


The Division of Consumer Services has received your complaint and will work diligently to resolve this matter
through its informal mediation process. I have reviewed and mailed a copy of your complaint to the business and
have asked the business to respond.
The division will encourage the business to informally mediate your complaint, however the business has no
legal obligation to do so. Should the business choose to respond, I will provide you with a copy of their
correspondence. If the business fails to respond, your complaint will be closed unsatisfactory and the business'
record will reflect this on the Business/Complaint Lookup on the division's website. This process will take
between 30 and 60 days.
The state of Florida cannot serve as a personal attorney for an individual. As such, you may wish to contact an
independent attorney for legal advice or you may consider filing a small claims action in county court.
If you have any additional documentation to support your complaint that you did not include with your initial
mailing, please forward that information to my attention as soon as possible. Include the reference number
displayed above on future correspondence and address any questions or concerns to my attention. Examples
include receipts, estimates (front and back), advertisements, copies of a contracts (front and back), or any
correspondence with the business.

Thanks Kmanche! That response from Dept of AG is really quite pitiful. Maybe that's why she moved from Atlanta to Miami.

Their response was really pathetic. I wonder if it is any different in other states. It's funny that a state government would go through the trouble to develop a department and a process for handling consumer complaints, but in reality, have no authority or capability to really resolving anything.
 
They probably get their authority from the Dept of Redundancy!
 
I did a super-quick search on PACOL before I ordered from them. Everything seemed OK, but I clearly didn't look that hard. That was a month ago. I wish I'd seen this thread.

I contacted them before I ordered to make sure they had the part in stock. Yup, it would ship the following week. Same old thing, it's shipped, let me get the tracking number, it's packed, let me get the tracking number. Lots of phone calls. She stopped answering my emails a few weeks ago. I called today and it said the number was not a working number. So I opened a dispute with Paypal.

It was the only place I saw any 1982 firewall body mounts. I suppose you can sell whatever you like if you're never actually going to ship anything.
 
After almost 11 months of Alexandra's excuses and missed dead lines I gave up and started actions against her/Pacol. I stared with a fraud complaint with the FBI's online division then I opened a case with the postmaster ( I had mailed her my deposit). Finally I filed with the BBB. She eventually refunded my deposit.

Land Cruiser Heaven is selling the same parts from Auto Parts Zarate that Pacol supposedly sells. You can contact Frank here on mud @FloridaFJ80. He has a better reputation and is easier to contact.

Sorry you had to go through that ordeal with PACOL. I have the body mounts your looking for, you can order through my website www.landcruiserheaven.com and I will get them on my next container leaves in about 3 weeks.

Thanks for the free plug. I have so many customers that have been burned by PACOL, this is one of the reasons I am doing Land Cruiser Heaven and that is to prevent further people from being burned by shady sellers.
