Bumping an old thread but wanted to add my 2 cents. As many of you know, Radflo's customer service is top notch. I pinged them today as I am in the market of getting a stabilizer since my 3 link is done. I'm going to give them some specs and they are going to build a stabilizer for my ride. I'll update the thread once I get more details from Glenn @Radflo

I just got today a KYB stabilizer. Nothing fancy but it does what is supposed to do.
Where did you get the KYB unit? I haven't been able to find one. The OE part is stupid expensive.

The stock ones are KYB? I heard they couldn't sell them aftermarket in the US due to their Toyota agreement.
I never checked to see who makes the OE part. Either KYB or Tokico is most likely since Tokico makes the shocks. I just don't want to pay ~$220 for a shock when I didn't pay that much for OE replacements for the other 4 combined.
Any new options on the market?

At a local auto parts store. Rockauto has some options at a very good price, Rancho for $46.00, Monroe $22.95 and Gabriel $25.00. At least those are the prices for a 92 Cruiser. I believe that 93-97 uses the same item. Lot less of what I paid for...

Know of a couple of big tire rigs running the Monroe from Rockauto, seems to work well. Hard to beat the price/warranty?

I have an OME in one of my trucks. Its at least 8-9 years old and still holding, BTW, I painted it white!

Mine seemed to last to just after the warranty expired, convenient,, for them! But then, 37"s, lots of wheeling, beating.... Went with a Rancho, lifetime, no hassle over the counter warranty at the Desert Rat right up the street!
On the Fox stabilizer that pulled:
it didn't pull because the valving wasn't 50/50. it pulled because it is a nitrogen charged mono tube design. even though those run much lower pressure then a normal shock the shaft will still want to extend on its own if it was compressed off the truck. even if the valving was 70/30 most people would be hard pressed to notice, and when it comes to stopping oscillation it will still take energy out of the system effectively.
most of the cost effective stabilizers are twin tube low pressure so the shaft doesn't push and make it drift.
to do it correctly with a high end nitrogen charged mono tube stabilizer you either need 2 stabilizers mounted opposite so that the extension forces cancel each other or a through shaft design that cancels the forces internally.

Did this fit on the OEM mounting positions? I am about to pull a two year oldish Monroe Magnum that is leaking and it has no warranty.
Is the Rancho a generic length/stroke, or do you have a model number by chance?

Anyone know the open and compressed length of the 80-series steering stabilizer? I have a really nice equal force Fox Steering Stabilizer from a Jeep JK that seems like it would work on the 80.
Is the Rancho a universal fit?
