I'm going to bump this because no one answered the original question.

P.O. destroyed the antenna in my LX and I ordered a full replacement (motor, housing, mast, etc). I ordered the Toyota part.

I went to uninstall/install the new one and discovered that the old one had two connections where as the new one just has one.

The only thing I can think of is that the second one is how the factory cell phone tied into the stereo? I had read that it was done via the antenna. Is this correct?

I'll get some side by side pics up tomorrow.

The Antenna on the LX is the same as the 96-97 Land Cruiser that has 2 connectors but I’m not sure about having to do with the factory phone. I thought that the 2nd connector was for the height memory for when you switch on the stereo (when you turn the radio on, the antenna should go up to when it last was when you turned the radio off)

The antenna for the cell phone (if you have it) should be in the non sliding window on the back on the driver side.

The factory antenna for the LX450 and the 96/97 Land Cruiser is no longer available new from Toyota. You can find the stem and, if there’s nothing damaged inside, it should be easy to replace. I do know that the stems are different for pre 96 and 96-97

I think that the antenna with the two connectors is only for US Market

I bought a new early 100 Series antenna and replaced the mounting bracket and the tube where the antenna slides with the ones from my LX and it worked with no other mods that I recall. That one also has 2 connectors
