Nice rig... Congrats on the find..... How's the power on the v-8?

It has CRAZY power. Its a brand new rebuild, and it was done by a "Hot Rod" guy. It was supposed to go into an old Ford Pickup, but ended up in this rig instead. It has LOW miles on it, like it hasnt even really been broke in yet. But the motor rated at about ~300 Hoursepower on the bench. Its a 283. I still need to get the details from the PO.

I'll throw a vid up of it running here in a few days.

Thanks for all the compliments. My :princess: loves this color as well. She is the one who picked it out!

Center console question

I just picked up this center console with the 78 red 40 I just bought.

Anyway, it is very cool, but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this type before. It is a OEM factory console with an "attachment" on top.

Its this attachment I think is very nice, and want to know if they are available for sale?

Its just a bolt on affair which I love. And it's lockable!

thanks

I have that exact console in my FJ40. It is (or was) made by Con Ferr...at least the sticker on it says so.

Makes a perfect mount for my Uniden CB.

Subscribed! Great info and write-ups! I know its hard to update on the go! keep up the good work:cheers:

Nice job, Like everone else that color is awesome. I saw you are in Oregon, I'm about an hour from the border. Do you happen to have spare hardtop parts lying around. I'm looking for a fiberglass roof cap.

Funny you should ask. I have two! The raingutters are shot, but the fiberglass is good. PM me if you are interested. I would let one go for $150.00. They are at my buddies in storage so I dont have a pic handy.

Couple Updates..

Managed to get the front clip together. Did some lining up of body panels etc.

Installed some pieces from Cruiser Corps. Good stuff, and I like the way they package thier stuff, very clean...

Also installed a hard top side to get it lined up, and make sure the seals would be tight etc. Using some edge guard on the door ways and on the hard top-to-tub lip. Love it...

Also got the rear doors finished and test fitted. They still need WS installed on them. They needed a complete teardown and re-do. Turned out good.

Fuel Door Installed with lock.

Just picked up a couple of final pieces from the blasters today. 5 wheels, and skid plate, along with some misc brackets and two super clean fenders for the 69. (if I ever get back on her) :)

Truck looks great!

You know what would really set it off...a factory soft top!
:p

Dude I know... I really want one. Just lining up the stars to pull the trigger. Soon tho, soon...

Got the WS installed on the rear doors, man they are tight with the new WS... NO RATTLES! :bounce:

Biggest job left is the two front doors. Hoping to have them finished this time next week. Then its just essentialy bolting it back together... (yeah suure) :)

Nice tub! I'm jealous. The rust in mine is never ending, I'm trying Rust Bullet, then the Raptor black. It looked good on some other post. Arma Coating and Line-X wanted $750-$1000!!!

The raptor product is great. It really is easy to use. I will use it on all my projects from here out.

As far as updates go, I have installed the rear harness, rollbar, restored the jumpseats and installed those, got the front doors done and installed (whew!) taillights installed.

Also got my unobtainium 33 x 10.50 BFG Mud terrain KM2's and installed them onto MY OEM steel wagons. :bounce: Havent mounted them on the rig yet because as soon as I do, it wont fit into the garage.

Pics later...
