I’ve heard the term “cruiser porn”, and I think I may actually be in the video. This is the finest I’ve ever had my hands on. A brand new H55 and new T-Case. I know they are out there but it’s a first for me :).

I just did the same Jimmy. I wouldn't let anyone else touch that baby! MY PROJECT! That new T-case was like handling fine jewelry.

On the suspension choice, I am really liking the Dobinsons IMS kit on my red 60. I have OME Heavies on Chunk and it is good for sure, but I think I like the Dobinson's kit a little more betterer. The approach is thinner and more leafs (leaves?) for smoother flex. It could be just the better shocks making the difference too. Not exactly an apples to apples comparison. Those shocks were are LOT more money than the OME base shocks.

Of course, if you could score a parabolic spring kit for it, that would be epic

IMS might be nice but as for springs I loathe the Dobinsons on my 40. They’re alright on my 62 but absolutely terrible on the 40. Almost positive I got part of a bad batch.

Interesting. I put dobinsons on Jessica's 40 and it seems fine. Used the basic yellow shocks on that one. I haven't wheeled it, just back road Sunday stuff. OME definitely gets credit for having consistent parts, service and quality across the board on every item I have ever bought from them.

Went to grab the new bolts Georg shipped to Galen and what do you know, he shipped him the correct 4wd shift rod. Did not have a punch small enough to knock out the spring pin so I cut the 90 off of an Allen wrench. Also replaced the factory 5 gear spacer gasket. Always surprises me how nasty that thing gets from storage etc. Will install front half tomorrow and hopefully stabbing her in

Easy to remember. Contrary to everything out there on shaft length. Short works! Tell her that!

Fast forward a couple months:

With the new transmission in and the pinion slop fixed, Ian @RevISK refreshed the brakes. Yesterday Jimmy had to come up to Austin for some business and just happened to bring along the windshield glass and gasket that he’s been storing for me for the past three years. So new windshield, new dash pad, and some clean door cards from my stash. Man, I learn so much every time I’m around them.

Nate made himself right at home in Ian’s garage.

This morning my girlfriend Sarah jumped in the 61 and drove her home. Still some brake fine tuning to go (LSPV your days may be numbered) but so many thanks to Jimmy and Ian for helping the 61 along.

Nothing finer than a fine lady driving a 61
