After setting up the power steering plumbing with a verity of AN fittings and compatible hoses I want to do the same for my R2.8 fuel lines.
Has anyone already done it and what size fittings do I need? I found in a web search for a 5.9 and they show under 500 hp -6 AN and over that -8 AN so far it looks like I need -6 AN but don't know what threads into the filter or the pump to connect the AN fitting to.
I checked the manual and the feed line is 9.5 mm/.378" and the return line is 8 mm/.3125" so I will buy hose for -8 AN fittings and go to my fuel tank installation manual to see what fittings need to hook up the new long range tank.
I just need to know what the Cummins fitting sizes are.
@POPO AGIE If you haven't already look up SAE J2044 fittings. They make this in 3/8" and 5/16". I am doing this SAE quick connect to AN-6 conversion for @Troy Pusateri build.
- 3/8 SAE J2044 to AN-6 adapter (Male) I got one of these for the fuel pump end.
- 3/8 SAE J2044 to AN-6 adapter (Female) I got 3 of these because I am using the Cummins WIF filter assembly.
