@wngrog isn't the only one with a hot rod 2F.

There's no room for that now, with the basketball goal riding up there.

Never know when you are going to get a chance to shoot some hoops in the backcountry!

Are you still liking your fancy LED headlights?
I just threw a set on my bush truck
You have probably written about them somewhere in this thread, but im not much of a reader.
Cheers

I'm happy with them so far. The biggest
complaint that I might have was the initial adjustment of them, aiming the lights so they didn't blind oncoming traffic. I needed to aim them WAY down to get them right, which also brought the high beams down also. I do like the color of them, they aren't crossing into the 6500K spectrum and looking blue, I'd say they are around 5000K, bright white.

I've heard stories of these lights giving up the ghost out of the blue, no indication of trouble, just going dark.

It took me 3 days to get through all 87 pages, but this was a great read. Thanks for taking the time to document all of your work. I'm slowly squirreling away money for a 40 so it's encouraging to see someone DIY their way through so many aspects of the restoration process. Truly an inspiration. 🍺

Thank you, it was an adventure to say the least. There are some things I'd do differently if I had the opportunity, like not moving across the country!

I put a cool steering wheel wrap on my rig a couple months ago, @GA Architect couldn't be the only cool kid around.

The black gasket is for diesel. If a black one is left in the Scepter MFC and gasoline is stored in it the gasket will swell.

Results of a swollen diesel gasket.

Once the inner flange cracks the MFC will leak fuel, no way around it.

New goodies going in. The hardest part is snapping the strap back into the backside of the flange through the cap, I use a 9/16" Klein nut driver.
