OK, I figured out that my arms and ends have different tapers and that is causing my problems of loosening up after just about every run. I am changing them all to GM 1 ton ends and rods and will drill out to the propper tapers. And in my inquiring quest I am thinking of a ram assist. Has any of you heads done this(cruiser heads that is). Or have any of you guys gone with different ends on your rigs and for what reasons. Ram assist is a great advantage in the rocks. I have been in more than a few situations that require a turn and it is a no go with front lockers.
All thoughts are welcome. I know, I know that I am basterdising my rig but it is frustrating not having the darn thing work and stay tight for me. I have tried everything. Bushings, shims, new ends and the same result at the end of the trail run. The tapers are different on 3 of my ends. Not sure what my po has done when he built the rig. Don't bash me no one will ever know...really.

I feel your pain..... just went through it.
Spent 2 hours at Napa trying to figure out what they had on the front end of dads 40.

We ended up going with a complete kit from Ballistic Fab.... we opted for Rod Ends & tube. The KISS method was used- two ends the same size, only difference was one was LH Thread & other is RH Thread. We have a spare of each & a spare bolt & we are done.

Our thinking was yes rod ends wear quicker but knowing that in the middle of now where trying to get a certain rod end from 72 or 91 was pain & we can carry the spare ends & bolts & we are good.
