I finally painted the cage! What a pain to get out, Im sure it will be harder to get back in so as not to scatch the sucker.
While its out Im going to do a DIY spray on liner and touch up some holes from flairs.
Its just grey primer with Rustolium Industrial Flat Black
What do you think?

The paint scheme looks remarkably similar to my cages paint scheme...

:shifty:

Looks good Brian.

I assume you're using seats other than stock. When I built my seat cage, I used 1 3/4" & set it directly over the gas tank. When I mounted my seats I couldn't set them down far enough to get in & out easily so I had to buy a smaller steering wheel. Did you run into that problem?

Your cage looks like a jungle gym! A COOL Jungle Gym at that! What is the rear section designed for? It looks like something gets bolted onto it?

I think it looks great man, I dig the flat black!

The seats are in the last pic PRP IIRC :) I also have a 13" removable steering wheel from Howe or something.

Yeah, most importantly make sure you don't scratch those corner joint areas, I hear they're the most delicate. :flipoff2:

jk

That thing is absolutely bad ass! Excellent work man! Look forward to seeing the bench seat. :bounce:

I'd just throw some springs and axles under it and run it!;)

Ed

Vitesse, is it tied to the frame? It looks so stout that maybe it is not necessary?
Did you bend it all?
It looks very well thought out, no wonder it took 2 years.

Ed, It is tied into the frame, I didnt bend any of it or put it together, Like the title said I finally got around to painting it, Im sorry if it sounded like I made it, I had it built by Outerlimit Motor Sports formerly Factory Tubular here in SLC.

Sorry if I missrepresented it.
However I did get the chance to weld all the non visible spots that the guy that put it together missed.
I wish I had the tools to make stuff like this, I finally got my hands on my dads welder, Mine hasnt worked for some time.
Thanks for asking

Wait, did I read that correctly? Um, I'm not even going to go down that road...

Dude I want all those props back. Just kidding. It's still a bad ass cage.
