A/C on a FJ40?

Is it possible to add A/C to an FJ40 with a Toyota straight 6, either an F, or an F2? I haven't received mine yet, just purchased and got to figure out shipping it here to Florida, so I don't know if there are bolt holes available for an A/C compressor mounting bracket or not. For the inside I know Vintage air makes some good units for classic vehicles, I just don't know if it will mount under the hood. But I do know it gets pretty hot and humid here in Florida.

I have this unit on mine and it looks very slick. I got the higher performance blower and the volume of air that it pushes is very impressive. The install is not quite done as I’ve got a ton of other things to make and install before I can have the system charged.

Thank you! I have an LS engine and I am using the factory GM compressor. From what I’ve read the retrofit kit for the factory 6 cylinder is a direct bolt on unit. You will have to drill a few holes for the evaporator.

I went with red Raptor Liner inside. I used Lizard Skin heat and sound proofing underneath, with topcoat applied over that to make it stronger. I also have Lizard Skin under the Raptor. Way overkill.

Very nice, looks great! Is there a Lizard Skin product that combines the heat blocking and the sound blocking? I just searched Lizard Skin and found it on Amazon, but it looks like the product for Heat is in a 2 gallon bucket, and then the product for Sound deadening is in a different 2 gallon bucket. So, just to make sure I'm understanding the process, 1st you put down the Lizard Skin Heat blocking product (brush, roll, or did you have a compressor to spray it?), then you applied a separate Lizard Skin Sound Deadening product, then you applied the Lizard Skin Top Coat product which appears to be in an aerosol can, and then applied the Raptor Liner. Correct? That is a lot of steps, BUT, I bet the outcome is FANTASTIC!!! I wish I still had a shop with a big compressor and a sandblaster, but all that is gone and now I'm disabled. Otherwise I'd blast the undercarriage and frame clean and then coat it all for protection, heat, and sound, and then I'd do the same thing inside to the floorboards. But, I may have to take it to someone and get it done. Hope I won't have to sell a kidney to pay for it!

1971. I kind of wish it was something like a 1978, but it was the deal I stumbled upon, so I grabbed it while I could.

Where you using air compressor tools to spray all this, or was it a "roll on" paint roller type application? That may be a stupid question, but as my 80 gallon upright 2 stage compressor and tools were all stolen 20 years ago, it seems a viable question to me now. And, I don't have a car lift, so me trying to get under it to knock off 50+ years of yuck to prep and get a protective / sound / heat liner on is not as easy as it used to be.
