Got some pictures of the block tonight. Head should be back early next week but got done what I could for now. Decided to remove the powder from the EFI logo on the plenum. Turned out pretty good. Also picked up some aluminum half moons from 22re performance.

Just so you know ... if you try to install the engine in that orientation you might have a problem. :rofl:
 
This is the ultra rare 22re-I (the I stands for inverted)
 
That engine must be for the southern hemisphere market.
 
It’s been a while but getting back on track. Finally got the head back a few days ago and started assembling. This is the fun part. Had to go with a thicker head gasket to compensate .020 off the block. Looked identical to the OEM one but hoping the quality is there too. Looking at all my intake sensors and only see copper washers on the front two. The temp sensor on top the thermostat housing and the bvsv don’t have one....should they? Thanks in advance!
