You will also note that the A/C recommendation is coming from 80 series drivers and, as we know, those 80's have a soft fleshy underbelly called cup holders and climate control.

Which beg's the question, How come they are allowed on this forum anyway? :flipoff2:

It takes a real man to do 60 on the highway and not give a fxxx.

On safety

There is plenty of people, only a finite number of simple, old school classic rigs

Next year I'll post the pic with a Pig....

Sucks to see it nothing more than a parking lot ornament.

Thanks

Plan to paint white.

At the same time, swap to clear glass and solid rear glass, along with replacing all the sills, seals, weatherstripping, windshield and sunroof, most of which I already have.

Suspension functions very well off road.

Still have a slight rake that's irritating, but will be addressed somehow other than coil replacement.

Still experiencing too much body roll and will be addressed, eventually.

Nothing like a chick with whiskers.

No, I didn't search.

Rear defrost, which has never had issues before, seems to be deteriorating in its effectiveness.

Can't think of any reason why that would be.

My bet would be damage to the grid. Mine went south after a less than perfect cargo loading job by a family member. the load shifted and a duffle bag came in contact with the glass. It rode there long enough to damage the grid in several places. I'm only a ~700 dollar glass away from fixing it.

yeah, it's always the wives

For posterity, shall the day ever come that, in the event of my demise, my wife is perusing this thread with the assistance of my Cruisers' godfather.

(on that note, and you know who you are. I'll haunt your ass for all eternity if you get any ideas.... :flipoff2: ).

My wife has informed me that there's little difference between my "monster truck" and the 3' lifted Fords with stacks that I despise, except the truck nutz.

I can't think of a more injurious charge, but she furthered by stating her desire to drive the FJC just once, since she hasn't in the many years I've owned.

When I said "FJC?? Why not the 80?" she said it was too comical in appearance......much to my dismay.

CDan,

Like a price on all clear glass, if possible.

Going to have to put time in the 80, since the door seals and window runs being decrepit are driving me up a wall.

That'll mean pulling handles (need pads for handles, too.) and painting, long before I'm
ready, but thinking I won't chop into the rear quarter, nor is there any need to chop wheel wells, since not rubbing.

Might as well do it all, while I'm in there....again, for the third time......
