DYK Key Fob/Remote:
You can get a thicker battery for longer life
You can stack two thin batteries to increase voltage/extend the range
You can extend the range by putting the remote to your chin
You can extend the range by extending or rerouting the antenna
If you don't open the door in 30 seconds it will relock. (My chirp doesn't work so If I'm not sure if it locked or unlocked when I'm walking away, I just press the button and it will either lock, or unlock then automatically relock so I'm good either way)
- 80 series front and rear driveshafts are the same from 93-97, as long as you have a viscous coupler and ABS (Credit: CDan, beno)
- A small inverter mounts perfectly in place of the LX center console's CD changer
- Turn signals won't work if the hazard light switch isn't plugged in
- Stock LX suspension is known to produce a side-to-side swaying motion while driving (even when new). This is due to the LX-specific shocks having softer valving. The LX shocks can be replaced with LC shocks or aftermarket to solve this problem.
- Stock LX springs are only different from LC springs in the rear, where the LX uses the same springs as an LC w/o 3rd-row seating
- The LX *does* have the pintle hook mount on the rear bumper, it's just covered by plastic (which you can remove)
- The LX *does not* have the aluminum step plate under the plastic cover on the rear bumper
This needs to be in the DYK. Since I don't know and haven't changed mine yet I'll ask the question here. Where do I get the drain plugs with the hex/torx head instead of the low profile nut for my diffs and transfer case? Can someone post a link? Thanks.
Plus, I just don't like this thread being on the fifth page. That's crap!

If you blow a drive flange and all the studs and/or inner axle, clean up as best you can and use whatever is available to keep trail crap out.
Rags, feminine pads, whittle wooden plugs, your tiger striped underwear(think drummer)
Lock up and get home.
