I didn't know this until a couple of years ago and I've owned my 80 since new in 1992! My key doesn't work in the lock but that probably because it's worn out...the key that is.
By "fit", I'm inclined to stick with the 3 row brass core on the 93-94 vs the 2 row aluminum found on the 95-97. Not looking for a debate since I'm not at my wits' end with overheating issues. The OP didn't have his vehicle year in the sig line, and I am unable to tell which radiator he was able to source. Next up on the list for me is a complete cooling system overhaul.
DYK the back seat of an 80 is the perfect place to chill with a beer to avoid the old lady? It's also the perfect place to put a Calvin and Hobbes book

Been lurking for a little while, but this blew my mind! Just picked up an 80 a couple months ago and have been complaining to my wife about how they forgot to put a keyhole at the back. They got almost everything else right, how could they forget something as simple as this. When I saw this I threw the computer down and ran outside to check! I sure feel a little dumb!

Don't feel bad, I owned my 80 since new and didn't know this until a few years ago. 20+ years I owned it and didn't know. I finally used it yesterday for the first time after I silicone lubed it for few hours on Saturday.
A bit late, just saw this. I bought the TYC 95-97 radiator from Amazon, installed it to my '93 LC. You can ship it back at their cost if it is not Koyo inside and get full refund.
