Seeing this reminded me that I have a set of rear window bars somewhere.

Another interesting and annoying feature. On the LXs (40th anniversary?) equipped with Automatic climate control, when you decrease the temp, it automatically reverts to recirc mode.

Lockers need to be exercised to keep the actuators from sticking.

Your A-pillar will give you a shower in a heavy rain storm if you don't keep your drains clear. Pack hotel shampoo bottles to take advantage.

There's a light in the ashtray.

Other people will know you're cool when they see your TLCA membership sticker on a rear window.

We Americans are forced to 'wheel in rich, luxurious comfort while the rest of the world gladly enjoys cloth seats, no sunroofs and manual amenities. They also get ambulance doors.

Third row seats have zero used-market value and are usually in brand-new condition. Still, nobody has yet come up with a good use for them.

If you have manual leather seats, they did not come that way from the factory. They are either a dealer installed option or done by a previous owner.

Did you know if you lose a caliper bolt you can use a seatbelt anchor bolt to replace it and get you home ?

*** should be verified before going to print :D but I believe that is correct. Off to pull a bolt

Could include symptom too? Goes foward and one wheel clunks and locks up. Backs up fine

Did you know k292 vs 294 can tell you if the truck being inspected has lockers?

Did you know the gas light comes on with 5 gal left in tank

Shoot! This is good to know! I always thought I had 10 blocks of fuel left when it came on but now I know I only have 5!

And what superfluous bolt can be used if you lose knuckle studs? I know a few guys who would find that information useful.

Did you know....beno and cdan ?

Thread complete.

I second that!

Took me a while to figure out who and what is cdan and Beno mentioned in half of the threads.

How about a thread that showcases all of the ingenuity and aftermarket support that is available for the 80 series. There was a post yesterday about a guy that bought an 80 and was lamenting how there hasn't been another rig built like it since and need will be. He was upset how eventually Mr. T will quit making stuff for it. My son and I were discussing this and we both agreed that there are so many guys on Mud that are creative and industrious that there will continue to be support. That companies (whether it is a full-time endeavor or just something they do as a side gig because they love doing it) solely exist to make products and provide aftermarket support for our amazing rigs. You could highlight all of the vendors such as: Wits End, Iron Pig Off Road @IPOR , 4x4 Labs, @LandCruiserPhil, Slee @sleeoffroad, YodaTeq @yodaTEQ, Victoria's Secret (strictly for the LX crowd :princess:), etc. That way new 80 owners and potential new 80 owners can see what all there is for aftermarket support. They can see that super cool, heavily modded 80 (or LX) and find out where to get all of the cool toys. Instead of rolling down to Pep Boys and asking them and buying a bunch of DeeZee or Smittybilt crap. They can support the companies that support us. Thus building the market for all of those guys which makes them more money and encourages them to create cool new products! Win-win for everyone!

Most importantly they can see that the 80 has been around for 24 years and isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The more we support these guys the longer the 80 will last.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some of the vendors, sorry, maybe Joey (@NLXTACY) can add them... :)

I'm a genius for coming up with this idea! Do I win?!?!? :flipoff2:

Is this the next big thing???

:D
