Looking good so far!! Indicators are for an early rut...Probably going to take a freezer doe (read old) next weekend...Howz it looking in your neck of the woods?

Our doe population is down and I still have venison in the freezer so I will probably hold off until muzzleloader on one of my smaller properties. The scrapes are starting to be opened up, I think the rut will swing in about the first week of November as usual. I havnt hunted that much but as I see activity picking up will toe the line of divorce and dead beat fatherhood to be in the woods. Luckily my family understands that there is a big black x on my calendar from Halloween through shotgun season and I only receive a few funny looks as I pace from window to window when I am home.

On a tech note, have you gotten the new suspension installed?

LoL I know that look..!!

No, the mule is still wearing old legs. Transplant, is on hold until further notice. I may "tram" it over to Preston Co and work on it in the evening (non-hunting days) IOT complete the installation. I have not ordered the shocks (5100's) yet. But, the shocks on it now are only a year old and are 2 1/2 over spec, so the OME springs will work. May be a tad stiff.

Wrenching away here, work has been getting in the way of my build.

Used a 5/8" to 1/2" copper reducer and some left-over silicon tubing to refurb my drain tubes. 5/8" tubing end fit perfect (with a little persuasion) on the upper connection. 1/2" copper adapter fit snugly in the lower drain section. Added stainless clamp..

I understand...!!! Have you managed any fall fishing. Conditions here have been perfect. I may take a day out of the "stand" to stalk a fish er' two!

I was out in Garrett county today, scouting trout water, I'm going back up on the 7th or 8th to fish hard.

Good call. It's been a perfect fall for fishing!! I am going to try and hit it hard one day this week. May be my last chance this season. Breaking out the "March Brown" five weight. The small mouth are tearing it up as well. Buddy of mine mentioned that a new state record was caught this fall. Over nine pounds was the rumor I heard.

Howz the engine coming along. I hope to hit the key on the mule in the next couple of weeks!

Installed the front floor mat. Wasn't thrilled with it initially . After applying a little heat it molded relatively well. I retired my OE mat earlier and I purchased this early in the Face-Lift....I'll run it for a bit and make the call later.

New lines/clamps on the separator. Fresh paint on the cover earlier. Installed using some of the OE hardware along with some new stainless.

Seats are installed. I picked up a Smitty Bilt seat cover. The fit was so-so. I dropped it off at my local rigger shop for modification. Removed the lower portion of the cover, moved the adjustment straps to fit the TLC OE seats. The Molle connections on the rear (back) allow for the attachment of any kit that is Molle compatable...Had to run with the OD green for nostalgia. Working on a design for the jump seats as well. I'll post up after I work out the "bugs"...

Hood was liberated from the painter...Turned out very nice. Now sporting a "Hot Rod Black" Coming back together with stainless hardware. Hinge hardware remained black OE (powder coated by PO).

Hood and drivers fender installed. Test fit drivers side turn signal. Mounted the fender without Fred. Challenged my conceptual multitasking thought process.

Starting to look like a TLC again. FJC steelies need a good cleaning. I may tram the mule up to Preston Co IOT button it up and install the OME springs. Progress slowed down as fall hit the highlands. Not sure if the mule will hunt the main season or get pushed back to Muzzle-Loader season. TLC Fj-40? Muzzle-loader? Same "new" technology! May be a match made on the mountain....

I've been moving along with the engine, it is closed up and mounted in the frame. I need to get a new clutch disc, pressure plate, and have the flywheel machined. Small things on the engine, I need to install hoses for the cooling, and start getting the radiator going.
