Alright, found another need. Rear window for the removeable cab, not the corners but the actual back window. Got looking close at mine today and realized (again) that it is plexiglass. I remember seeing that 5 years ago and it just dawned on me today again when I noticed some real light surface 'cracking' it is getting. OEM# is 64811-90333. I'm sure I could get something cut easy enough but I figured I'd check with the Mud crew first :D

Your mention of the back window prompted me to check on that piece of glass in some old catalogs:

Apparently the glass got thinner over the years from Early to 1986;
Not sure about the overall shape and dimensions--need someone to actually lay an early and a late original atop each other to check.

I was informed after a check with Japan two years ago that the latest version was NLA, so probably also for the early numbers.

Anyway,

In 1964 the part number was: 64811-90332.
By 1969 it was referred to as: 64811-90333, with a thickness of about 5/16" (5mm)

Between 3/69-8/76 it was superceded by: 64811-90335, with a thickness of about 1/8" (4mm)
From 8/76 until the end in 4/86 there were two choices in 4mm thickness for the fixed glass in different world markets:
the 64811-90335 continued as tempered
or 64811-90336 was listed as "TT", whatever that means

The rear sliders were all 4mm glass, either tempered or "TT."

Probably a lot more info than you need to hear !

You don't think TT could have meant tinted tempered? I remember years ago when I converted a 73 top to one with the vent window. I didn't have the large side glass so I bought new from Toyota. Thinking I was asked if I wanted tinted or not.

I do have a question. Did the rear window weather stripping change as well? I purchased new side windows and weatherstripping when I bought my 45 but only the weatherstripping for the back glass figuring I could have a new piece cut if ever needed. So I bought what ever weatherstripping was available in 96 but have the original 65 glass on the truck.

LITP,

Good call !
I checked a new curved rear glass I have which is tinted, says "Temperlite," and the catalog lists it as "TT".
There is a different part number listed for the CLEAR version.

As for the part number for the weatherstrip for the fixed glass back window, it was 64831-90332 back in 1964 and didn't change by April 1986.

So, I also am hoping the later weatherstrip I purchased will fit the earlier glass.

One millimeter isn't very much difference--long ago, didn't one brand of cigarettes once advertise as being "one silly millimeter longer"?

On a similar note:

I checked the last offerings for the front windshield glass on the later models, and there are four varieties:
6.7 mm thick clear laminated (Lamisafe) or tinted laminated
5.0 mm thick clear "zone tempered"(Temperlite) or "tinted zone tempered",

and four different part numbers for the weatherstripping.

So......apparently some markets allowed tempered front glass, and others insisted on safety laminated. glass.

Would be interested in seeing a thread devoted to glass varieties, including the doors and vent windows, and their respective weatherstrips.

OR.. put a slider in the back.

x2, that would be fantastic

Mind sharing how you are looking at the 1964 part numbers? I have some early microfiche (66) but nothing earlier than that.

OR.. put a slider in the back.

Tempting... details?

Bump... could really use some parts primarily the passenger side lower seat frame or a full set of seats. Lemme know if you see anything out there. Thanks!

I was looking for a pass seat as well. Just modified a 40 seat. Only word of advice I can give is have the top on before sleeving the tubes. I was 1/2 inch too far back. Doh.

Good advice. I could likely repair the seat frame I have now with roughly the same work as modifying the 40 setup. The outer leg (below filler) on the passenger side seat is completely missing, broken all the way up at the seat bottom. I might have a 1" bender die so a fix might not be too difficult but of course a replacement is easier :D

Bump for a passenger seat bottom. I've got a 40 one here I could hack and fix but the broken leg on the 45 is much longer than the 40's had and so I'm still faced with sleeving. I'd rather not cut up a 40 one for a marginal fix. LMK!

I think I still have some extra hooks, temp control valve, maybe a horn relay ( will need some cleaning ) you need the switch that goes on the transfer case ?
