Yup, its been awhile but I've been making some great progress the last few months. Old motor is out, new motor is on the hoist getting gaskets. I could still really use a tailgate, anyone have a lead they can share?

Kurt,
I am just down the road in Ogden, and am also slowly getting started on a 66 FJ45 LWB restoration, I have found a gentleman in Canada who is building me a new tail gate (Kevin). So I do just so happen to have one stitting in the garage. The bad news is I am not sure it is in that great of shape. I can post a photo or two to see if you think it is worth your time. I would be stoked to come see your project some time. I am super novice and wish I could find someone to let me sweep their shop for some advice and tutoring!

Right on, great to meet another local with a 45, there are a few dozen of us here in SLC. I'll hit you with a PM about the tailgate. Thanks!

Now you have me wishing I would have kept it!!!

NAH, I love the 2F, 4speed and the twin sticked split case!!!!!!!!!

Looks great Kurt, the motor went to the right person to give it the love it so badly needed.

Thanks again! The misses is really excited to get to drive it again. After building a new shop (twice :() she has been very patient with the process. Now it finally feels like I'm making some progress and RelicRun 2012 is my goal

Bump for parts needs:

PTO Winch (where are they when I actually want one ) - Have a couple local leads
Tailgate
Rear Tailight assemblies
Rear tailight plugs for vehicle side of harness (this one has been hacked)
Fuse Block Cover
OE Headache Rack

Oh, I could use a clean early F heater control valve as well. I've got a couple here but they don't shut all the way. Alternatively I may just bypass the heater core for the summer but I'd like to find a working valve. LMK

I might be able to hook you up with a PTO assembly Kurt. I also have a private stash of heater valves. Assuming you haven't gone elsewhere before then, we'll talk when I get closer to ordering those ARBs from you. Right now I'm still a couple of weeks out from even being ready for Felix's bumper.

Best.
Mark

Great Mark, I'll be in touch.

Also on my list of needs, an early style horn relay with the clear cover. Thanks!

More needs:

Early 4WD indicator switch ('58-'67 era)
45 LWB Tailgate latches (both sides)
Hardtop roof hook ('58-'67 era)
Spare Tire frame side hanger (I could build/fab easy enough but I'd rather have an oe matching one)

Thanks!

PM me for possible PTO. have a very good friend looking to sell a few, we just cleaned his garage out over the weekend and you know him. Middle of Missouri tho.. Mudship would work tho it's on I-70.
