Im guessing you want to know what the ones do that are white? You can trace where it goes...

I'll post a pic of my 64 dash when I get home. I could probably tell you off the top of my head too..

I know the top is Throttle, FD
bottom is I think lights, choke, wipers..

look at the Specter catalog

I've seen some variations on this, and different folks have different arrangements. Whether that is from variations at the factory or from people swapping things around, I don't know. Anyway, this is what I've settled on from a combination of viewing people's posts, studying the owner's manual (unfortunately, only for RHD vehicles), and the logical shapes of some of the half-moon holes in the dash for my 9/64 FJ45. Yours could very well be different.

Key: Top row, left to right: room light switch - headlight switch - front drive light

Middle row, L to R: Choke - Hand Throttle - Front Drive Pull / Wiper Switch

Lower row, L to R: Blank (or rear heat) - Front Heater blower - Vent

The lever is your Hi-Neutral-Low transfer case shift.

here is my 64... it's an early 64 if not late 63 as it was purchased in may 64. The panel switches match the control panel in the owners manual. :) Just need to flip things around except for the wiper. The clown knob is the ramsey PTO. The red white and black switches and knob are for the dealer installed heater blower.

Here is treeroots 65 In blue and my 66 in green. I've been thinking of taking the interior light button off the 66 (which is just below right of the indicitor) and put it in the 64.. I hate how the dome light works on the early cruisers, but then again I don't want to drill a 41 cruiser this stock :D

LOL :D

The light switch is as follows
off
1 click left - Headlights, taillights, License and meter lights.
2 clicks left - Front small running lights, tail lights, license lamp, and meter lamp

1 click right - Tail lamp and license

IIRC, the light switch fits into a half-moon hole. The only ones of those on my rig is where you have your throttle, and the wiper switch hole. :)

Yeah.. I can see that dave.. When I got the 66 I was trying to figure out the location of items on the dash.. That's when I went and looked at all of treeroots 45's and his 40 and took pics. There were alot of different configs. Some probably stock, some probably PO's ;)

Looks like someones been into your light and choke. ;)

I betcha 45's were different... Here's one of his 45lv's. Notice where the light is...:D

Hmm, yep that would be me. The original choke cable was cut short, so that's a replacement. And I had the light switch out a few times to fix the (freakfully scary) PO wiring job.

It does look like the '45 dash is different from the 40 out of the box. Thanks for posting those!

Actually, I had the little grey blank button you see up there originally. I plan to use the room light switch (pickups have the switch right on the light itself) for a fog light switch (unless I find a real one :D ).

I also wired my interior light on the swb to work off of a 40 interior light switch. Don't want to go putting too much wear and tear on an unobtanium 45 toggle if you don't have to!;p

McClaskey, since most of these early switches are labeled, not sure where the confusion comes in. Of course if you just wanted to see some interior shots for comparison, well then I guess you got a pretty good selection.

As far as the hand cranking thing goes, try a thread search on hand cranks. There's even a video link somewhere.;)
