Hey McClaskey!
Nice rig. I have a 64 that is going through a total overhaul also. What are you going to do? Good Luck!

looks really nice. the body looks pretty clean. weren't you planning on using this as a dd? if so, that would be pretty cool. i love the hardtops on those.

ya it will be my dd ...if i wanted to i could drive it right now(it runs and everythign) ya the hard tops are pretty cool but its really old and ive always loved the no top look on the cruiser... i will probly put it back on next winter though :D

That thing is SUPER STOCK. Good to know stuff like that is still out there. Factory non-heater model not uncommon for that year. Have you determined whether it is an alternator or generator model?

probably dealer or aftermarket heater/defroster.. Do you have a better pic? It's hard to tell in the pics..

what is the black box under the glove compartment??

My 65 has the same box. It's a heater on mine. It works well once I hooked the hoses up to the motor correctly. :)

On the left hand side at the top are two holes that hold the tubes that go to the defrost vents. At the bottom there are openings for air intake and hot air out.

Mine has a 2-speed fan and is noisy as hell.

I run mine on defrost because I have never spent the time to unfreeze the lever that moves it between defrost and normal.

You will like this. To adjust the temp you have to open the hood and there is a brass valve at the back of the motor that regulates the flow of warm water to the heater core.

Look like this?

First off

64's ROCK
(I got one myself if you can't tell by my username)

Thats where my heater was mounted also but if appears that the holes
cut in the firewall for the copper lines were not factory cut. I would
like to see what yalls looks like on the 64s.

McClaskey,

Any mods on you 64, engine, tranny, axles, lift, etc.
Or are you going to do a stock restore, thats what I wanted to do but my 64 came
with practically nothing stock except the crappy drum brakes.
