is that lamp that rare my 64 and 65 both have them...

I think it's rare. I've only seen them once or twice on Ebay and they went pretty dear for what they are...

The PO of my 71 changed the trans to floor shift and I have three levers now that control everything I think.

That leaves me with all the parts for the vacuum sys including the cable and knob if anyone is looking for those parts

I'll never put it back to a three on the tree. The previous sys also had the odrive

:)

I will take it off of your hands if you still have it and have no need for it.

What ya need for all of it.

Sorry to hijack .

nice thread

what does the left hand heater knob say if you have one?

for my 66 i guess I need the FD knob end and the small room light.

i still have all the knobs on the woods 45lv to remove so maybe i can get them there.

also, what would the roomlight do in a softtop? i have an aftermarket light wired to the newer rollbar. would there be a room light or would it be a blank?

The second (rear) heater switch (pull) is the same as the first, marked with an H, Simon. (See Wesintl's post on page one; pic)

The room light on a soft top is generally in a hole to the right of the glove box. It's got those little gray cone thing lights that are under the dash in a couple of Wes' pictures on page one, and they're pretty small.

excellent. i need to look more carefully.

yes. from wes' owner's manual it seems it was an option in 66?. there is not much of the tree linkage left but i can see a linkage arm on the steering shaft inside the engine bay, so i assume it is dealer or aftermarket install.

none :D

I installed the transfer lever today but noticed I didnt have the long clevis looking pin (shown above beside the F.D. knob) that are in pics I see....Why the long pin????Do I need it???

I also found out I don't have a front drive knob/assembly so I'll have to find one of those...

The function of that pin is simply to pull out the F.D. knob when the lever is pulled out. If you look at IDave's picture in post #5, you can see the large nut/spacer combo that was used under the F.D. knob as the catch for the pin.

You'll also notice that Dave's pin is on the other side. The pin's only function is to engage the front axle when shifting into low range. Simply disabling this by either removing the pin or removing the catch on the cable enables 2wd Low, which is a good thing.

Thanks again...Just went outside and found the F.D. pull knob and assembly....I'll get to play with that tomorrow i guess....so much fun...no fsm's yet....appreciate the help....
