The part (pull, #5 in the figure) is available from SOR, maybe even Toyota.

Is that the extraordinarily rare underdash lamp I see beneath your choke pull?

FJ45LV info from Rick D....

1964's - Map light switch appears left of headlight knob (FJ4516000 and up)
1965's - Map light disappears, hole left of headlight knob has rubber plug (1965-1967)

Here is a pic from the owner's manual. If anyone has a pic of the "map light" knob that the 45 guys have, post up a pic. It looks just like the headlight switch only smaller and it says "map" on it.

**Reverse the picture in your mind for LHD vehicles. The pic is of a RHD.**

Here is the link to the rest of the manual: http://www.root45.com/tech2.html

I do think the 45LV has the headlight switch mounted up higher(where the HT would be in a 40) than the same year 40

not sure 45LV vrs 45LPB, but I think the LPB is set up the same as the 40LV

Just return from outer space, John? :D

Where should the fog light switch for my LPB go? Where the room light switch (which it doesn't need) goes?

I forget but will check at blast off :D

This is how I have it set up currently (mostly based on the length of the choke and throttle cables and whether or not they reach their respective destinations:

There is a switch on the T-case. When the vacuum is applied by pulling the knob the light will light. You may have a vacuum leak, a bad switch, or a bad bulb.

I don't have that cruiser anymore and I can't remember :whoops: :bang:

I think that's the room light and the other little pull switch is the aux. I can look it up in my parts book later tonight if no one else chimes in.

front drive

The PO of my 71 changed the trans to floor shift and I have three levers now that control everything I think.

That leaves me with all the parts for the vacuum sys including the cable and knob if anyone is looking for those parts

I'll never put it back to a three on the tree. The previous sys also had the odrive

:)
