Got the rear axle installed and tightened up the hardware. The overload plate that was welded on worked great to also hold the U-bolts.

Plan to get the Hutchinson Beadlocks and Cooper ST Maxx tires mounted tomorrow. Rebuild the front knuckles. Does anybody know the torque values for all the bolts on the rebuild?
Should be an exciting day.

Decided to paint the calipers too. While removing the pads from the passenger calipers a cinder rock fell out. This type of rock is what Oregon uses to gravel the roads in winter. Guess it’s always a good idea to check everything out before you install.

Painting the tie rod.
A lot of work and prep but the paint will help keep this hardware protected from rust. Many thanks to Mike @boots4.
Fist bump bro!!!

You're moving along nicely! keep up the pictures, You're helping me out on my build by being a couple steps ahead! ;) I am waiting on all the lubricant to come in then I can start rebuilding axles. I think I need to replace the front leaf springs too, they are pretty wore out, which is a bummer because I was hoping to reuse them.

I just added a longer leaf to my pack. Got them from @cruiseroutfit.

did you put the rears up front? or did you put your front leaf springs back on? because you put the chevy springs in the rear didn't you?
My 60 stock rear springs are in the front with an OME longer add a leaf. The Chevy 63s are in the rear with an overload.

Couple of late evening picks with the Hutchinson’s on the axle. Unfortunately the center rock monster cap won’t fit on the hub so I’ll have to paint that too. The 60 is still blocked off the ground.

Getting closer to brakes. Need some advise from the guys running 80s rear axle in their 60s. Help on the brake proportioning valve and master cylinder setup. I see the Wilwood setup which looks like a nice way to go.

Not needed

Master cylinder to use:

Advics BMP090

As far as not needed, are you saying the proportioning valve?
Do you have a link to the Master Cylinder you suggested. Looking it up and am not seeing that model.

Will look when I get home but prop valve not needed
