1976. WtF have I done?!?

Heck yeah Lou!! Best color and year right there!!

I knew it. I told my wife that you were going to end up with a 40 in your driveway soon.

and yes, that brake warning light being on in the dash signals low fluid pressure at the master cylinder - was introduced when the brake booster came on line in, like, '69 or '70 ? - carries over into later models as well

Two questions:

1. For anyone who's taken the speedo housing / ebrake assembly apart, is there a gasket that goes between the two? I can't find one, and i would think it would be dry based on the oil seal between the speedo housing and the xfer case?

2. What the hell is this bracket? Found in my pile o parts today.

No seal between t-case and tail housing. Only seal is a rear of tail housing where yoke slides in. When pulling yoke fluid loss is normal.

Just talked to bossman too and he said same.

Just to clarify the below oil seal is going to be my rearmost seal or gasket when reassembling. I have no gasket for the surface u see below where it mounts to brake backing plate.

I believe that is the bracket which holds the charcoal canister to the inner passenger side fender.
