Thanks guys! Posted in his thread.

While on the subject...

My Aussie Locker has been popping a great deal more than before MardiKrawl. Chris mentioned the Aussie internal springs may need to be replaced. Any other reason for the increased popping? Will a properly setup and working Aussie handle 37" tires? Thanks

Yes and yes.

Lash, could be the springs or wear not he thrust washers. You need to measure the gap between the drive plates before you take it out. If the gap is within spec you can look at the springs and pins and also check the edges of the teeth for wear.

Bossman,

Did you mean worn out thrust washers?

I have a '78 diff as my backup. If I remember, the '78 has a fine spline pinion which is stronger than my OEM '77 coarse spline pinion. If so, maybe my current diff should become the backup and I should build the '78 with an Aussie or Detroit and install?

Thanks for your advice!

Sorry, yes, wear on the thrust washers. There is a spec for the distance between the drive plates and occasionally thicker thrust washers have to be ordered.

I need a set of these if anyone runs across some. Rear marker lights

I'm in need of the driver/passenger common bucket seat mounting bracket for both of my 40's, 72 & 75. Preferably brackets with both feet in good shape. On both of the brackets that I had the same foot rusted off of them.

@ntsaint , I'll give you my used ones, and you can buy me a pair of new ones, ok? :)
