Little fella is coming up on 3 months! What an experience - whole new respect for moms. I’ve not gotten a ton of sleep but my wife, sheesh, I read the average new mom averages 2-4 hours per night for the first 4 months.

Here he is sizing up the car.

Links aren’t working on mobile... instead of uploading them there why not directly in your thread? You’ve got your silver star post away!

What about now? I may have taken the complicated route by first creating an album vs. uploading directly.

I've got ome spring and bilsteins on my 78. Could not be happier with it. Ride is better than I thought an fj40 could possibly ride. On 33" bfg's.

I ended up keeping it simple and going with the OME kit (OME shocks, light springs). I'm really satisfied (but still curious about the shock difference).

Looks good welcome to dad hood... haha. Your days in the garage will consist of 1hr here and there during naps and late night hours if you feel up to it. Been there and still am there. 1st is 3 and her sis is 3 months. So even less now.

Side note your avitar is a trip its the logo basically i saw on everything Gov. i saw growing up for the last 30 years here in Sask Canada. The wheat province.

So true - getting away for 1 hour increments, at best. Wife not happy if she needs me and I’m coming from the garage!

Small world - I saw that same logo for my first 26 years. Grew up in Saskatoon and area. Family still all there.

Biggest advice i can give is dont rush any work you are doing in that small span you have. I still find myself rushing to do things on the cruiser in the hour i have here and there and it doesnt go well most of the time haha.

Broke off bezel bolts because of rushing. So true.

Nice! Here’s mine (blue one) - parked at Leguna Seca last year (Nissans get to do a parade lap before this year’s historics races - I’m pumped for this).

Pics of yours ...

This is number 4, 240z the day I picked it up, had to wait 20 years to get it, (yes I have been trying to buy it that long) ... I am the second owner its 95k original miles with factory shelby mags.. a perfect dash and no door dings.... lived its life in a airplane hanger in the bay area.. The only mods are header, springs, struts and swaybars.. I convinced the previous owner to do that in the early 90's... freshing it up now just had the carbs done by z therapy, fluids, brakes and put new mandrel exhaust on it.. still have to do a reseal on the taillights and some minor stuff..

I should be in Monterey I have a good friend running a speedster. Don't know if I will take the Z but its tempting.

Looks like a great get - I could see why you'd wait! If you get sick of it and need to return it to the Bay Area, just let me know ;) Mine is stock with exception of almost exactly the same list you have (well, plus non-stock wheels and some super sticky tires that, with the suspension, make for a lot of fun). Ping me if you get out to Monterey!

First drive with FJ60 front disk outers (thanks @orangefj45), got home and installed LED headlights (as plug and play as it gets - thanks @Racer65), and FINALLY a proper front bezel. Definitely going for a cruise after sundown to test the lighting.
