Low end response is very similar boost wise. The engine makes more power throughout the whole rev range though, feels like it, especially above 2000rpm. My goal was to open up the exhaust side of the equation. Still have different turbines to try out and a better compressor too. This is just a baseline. We'll sort of baseline. Still not maxed fuel out yet.

Good to hear gerg. I'm having a bit of trouble with one of those mamba/kinugawa extended tip billet wheels in my T25. Basically it's slightly to big, I'll be keen to hear how yours goes and what sort of difference it makes. The T25 billet wheel certainly looks superior to the standard offering.

None yet, I have a TB2527 (baby T25) from an RD28 Patrol I'm building with a new new core and a mamba billet wheel.

To clarify the the to big compressor wheel comment, they haven't left enough clearance and it can contact the compressor housing. The standard wheel leaves much more clearance.

Hopefully they've left adequate clearance on the 13T wheel.

Ahh yeah so bit of a delay on the turbo builds. When I asked my wife what she wanted for Christmas, her birthday and our anniversary (which all happen within a week) she went to our family room window. She then slowly pointed to each one of my trucks and said for Christmas I want that one gone.....for my birthday I want that one gone......and for our anniversary I want that one gone....

We sort of have a deal of one project at a time. I work on them one at time I said, but she didn't go for it.

I managed to chop one into pieces and hide it in my garage. My donor truck is currently up for sale as well as my BJ62 with the twin scroll which I currently drive. When the dust settles ill be left with my lonley 80 series im putting the 4bd1T into.

So.... I have some stuff for sale if anyone needs a truck!

Don't ask next time!!!!!!!!!

Just kidding! I can relate man. Ah, the countless deals and opportunities I've had to turn down over the years......I could not even get as far as having more than one cruiser to begin with...

On the bright side, you'll be forced to really focus on the 80 and get it well setup.

Ahh thanks. Now I don't feel so bad. Sounds like I have a terminal disease or something. My wife would definately agree on the terminal dieselease. It will be good to get into the Isuzu stuff. Strangely the same turbo design works great, just have to swap a 19t onto it.

ahh, Yep, you're terminally disieseled, seems to be an epidemic in this section :hillbilly:

There's your mistake there in yellow. What the hey! Why did you let her out of the kitchen? :worms::hillbilly:

Gerg,

Sorry for the wifes realignment, but like they say...happy wife...happy life

With respect to odds and ends for a 3b you might be selling, ping me and lets chat.

What!!!!! I would have to think about that decision for a long time. My argument would have to be that..... You fell in love with me when I had all this junk, please don't try to change who I am.

BTW My wifes jetta just ate crap yesterday so its good thing I had an extra cruiser for her in the driveway. WIN WIN. Plus I like that my wife and daughter are in an iron tank.

Time to sabotage her car. Muhuhahahaha!

Best of luck keeping any goodies.

Well the 80 will be in the family for ever and both of my daughters, 8 and 10, are looking forward to their own cruiser builds with dad. Neither want a car. Hehe. Going to have to look into pink rhino lining and pink powder coating though. Most of my odds and ends for the 3B are gifted already, just the vehicles to get rid of.

Just curious....whats your inventory of vehicles

So I have a 82 bj60 donor vehicle that is on the chopping block, my bj62 which will be up for sale sometime in the future. Been saying that for quite a while now. I think I need counselling. And my fzj80 for the Isuzu swap. Not a fleet by any stretch, but my wife parks right beside them so they are highly visible. Last week I torched apart an NPR skeleton to get a spare 4bd1t that ran away on oil but still managed to run after that when refilled. We also have a large chicken coop on wheels parked we are getting rid of, our travel trailer, our utility trailer, my renters car, my wifes car and Kowalskis wifes car. Wow, no wonder my wifes pissed.

So bolted together the 11blade extended tip 13t with the 11blade turbine to swap over from the stock turbo while watching chronicles or narnia with the family. I've never like Turkish delight since reading that story. I know I said id test each one at at time but Im so slow with my projects as it is I had to cut the time down somewhere.

So when clocking a turbo you have to remove these pesky little dowel pins that can be tricky. If you forget and clock a turbo without removing them they can destroy the center section. Ask me how I know.

When I reassemble the compressor housing I always put a swipe of rtv silicon on the back flange where the o ring is as I've had minor boost leaks there before. I Also slather the turbine housing mating surfaces with copper never sieze to make it easier if I have to disassemble it later. In a few days I'll bolt it up and post a video for all to enjoy.

errrrm, maybe your wife is not so much pissed at cars in the yard, but at you rebuilding parts in the lounge room, she probably has visions of all those cars in the yard one day coming into the lounge room :hillbilly::lol:
