Let me give it a shot this weekend. But my 12MP camera phone probably has better resolution than thr scanner.

Please keep in mind that the actual size of these images on the SOR Catalog pages are the maybe 1.5"x1.5" at most.

I like data, so i might try to overlay them all.

Wow some good info kicking around here. A day after I installed my pyrometer it gave up the ghost so I have to return it for another. Video will have to wait a bit. Just picked up an 11blade hl turbine and rebuild kit so I can get that ready in the mean time and will do some videos before and after the turbine swaps. I was going to chuck an extended tip 13t compressor on but if you guys want I'll swap only the turbine by itself. Be cool to see how much of an improvement each component makes.

You're taking this hijack very well.

Sorry guys... I did not mean to hijack.....just wanted to help with data because for me its very important for decision making on a turbo path....

Oh we appreciate the data, no problem at all. Once you've got it all it'd be great to dedicate a thread to it.

Yeah I just ordered another turbo to get an 8cm hot side for kowalski and will put the 11 blade turbine on with just the stock compressor and post up the results. I'll then improve the compressor and post that up too. This all takes time and I currently have the flu. Ugg.

So gerg quick question. when you swap compressor wheels or turbines etc do you re balance the rotating assembly?

I always rebalance even though the vendor is reputable, kinugawa, and states it is already balanced. When a shop balances it they take off all of the rotating components bearings, washers .... etc and balances them all together. Because I run them pretty hard I like knowing ive done all that I can do make it reliable. For the purposes of a short test I don't think ill get it balanced until the final assembly. Each balance takes like 4 days to get back and costs 80$

Parts are balanced individually and the final balance takes care of the residual (stack up) of all the parts being assembled. A turbo that's out of balance is a lot noisier than a balanced one. I've done it many times myself and only had one noisey result. Which ironically is the one I've run for the most time.

Here is a video. Sorry for the jumpy boost gauge, I can't give it max fuel or my fan hit the shroud due to a broken motor mount. I keep having to take my foot off at max boost.
