Those Kendas in the 35x10.50r17 measure a disappointingly tiny 33.4" tall in my experience. Stick with the Nittos if you want something closer to advertised size. It bothers the hell out of me that many tire manufacturers can't stick closer to advertised sizes (I'm looking at you BFG...)

But on the plus side, if all you're after is the "35" on the sidewall, the Kendas or BFGs are the easiest way to accomplish that.

On the flip side, when other manufacturers offer closer to spec sizing and more rubber, they get knocked as being "heavy".

Intereing to hear, most here have posted that they measure close to the advertised specs. What measuring method did you use/do to get the 33.4"?
I had them in lt275/70r18 and they were just about as tall as a lt285/75r17.
I have 35" k02s on another truck and they sure do measure small right around 33.4" under the weight of the rig, measured vertically.

That’s not how you measure for height.

I am familiar with how it's measured here on mud. This large data base/resource used by the jeep folk as a point of reference has measurements taken verticaly and most sizes are between 1 to 2 inches shorter than advertised . Which seems to be what the 35" Kenda is seeing.
Measuring from the the 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock has the BFGs close to spec at 34.5". And my 33" kendas measured 33 1/4".

Mounted on an OEM 4Runner 17" wheel (17x8 I assume?), and I *assume* weighted (lightly built 80 series) but not aired down. The 80 belongs to a family member, and I did not witness the measuring.

And yes, of course I know that makes the data pretty indeterminate. I can measure first hand next time I see the 80 with the questionably tiny tires.

Officially joined the 35" crew yesterday. Falken Wildpeak R/T01 in 35x11.5r17. No rubbing though I'm on +25 offset and have the KDSS relo in place, plus my alignment (done by Slee) has caster in the +3.5 to 3.7deg range.

How does the gearing and brakes feel?

Gearing so far feels similar to being on 34s. Keep in mind I've got 4.88s. Maybe slightly less go kart feeling around town, but my son drove yesterday (building up the learners permit hours) and he kept launching from every stop as he's more used to driving the Mini Cooper.

Didn't notice any difference braking. I think I went from 89 to 91# or something on each corner so not a whole lot of difference in weight.

One thing I did notice is that the steering feels less precise. Not sure if that's a function of the tread design being more aggressive, or the tread compound, or needing to break the tires in a bit (IIRC the Nitto RGs get quieter after a couple hundred miles), or the extra sidewall up from a 34, but I did feel like it wanders a bit more.

Drove on the highway and definitely a bit more noise than the Nitto RGs. Not M/T loud but not quiet either.

I'll get a pic next time I take it out of the garage. Should've done it yesterday...

- New tires need to be "scrubbed in" in the sense that the tire rubber breaks in the mold release layer. Also a track term and there it implies a couple heat cycles to get the tires up to par
- I believe your new tires are floatation size? I can't find anything specific but I strongly believe they are constructed differently than LT sizes with more sidewall compliance even as they can support similar loads. Needs a bit more tire pressure for better response.

Haha. No. He does clean the bugs off the windshield whenever we stop for gas though.

The gas pedal in the LC, even in "eco" mode, is definitely more sensitive than in the Mini. Probably in part because it has 3x the HP and almost 3x the number of cylinders

I have those 35" x 12.5" x 17" BFG ko2's on my Jeep and I really didn't notice it was under 34" until I leaned it against my 34" tire on the LC200, and noticed the 35" BFG was smaller than my 34" Ridge Grappler R/T. The Ridge Grappler was on the LC200 under load, and the 35" BFG was free rolling.
