Sheesh! Busy weekend.

We worked from sun up to sun down on saturday and about 8 hours on sunday, but we got this thing done.

Lots of work, but it turned out pretty good. Not really crusier content so it's in chat, but hey, it's at least a yota. Oh it's 4rnr's truck too.

Before....

Clean exo! The work around the headlights is real cool.

that is some crazy tube werks

very nice job!

does the snorkle pivot?
looks like it's in the way...

Thanks guys.... I'm still beat from it, but we're all happy the way it turned out.

The snorkle pivots... it's actually just some pvc pipe and a drain screen zip tied on there but it works great and looks pretty cool.

I wanted to get some pictures of the roof, but I didn't have a ladder.

The roof is pretty cool, the way the tube is layed out it looks alot like a spider. I'll see what I can get and I'll post it up in the next day or two.

Did John buy a JD2? What size die?

Whaddya use to notch?

When you gonna come by and do the semi-exo on the :pig: :D

No, he used this guy Adam's. Adam is on pirate, but I can't remember his handle. He was out once a few times back at attica. He had the sas'd 86 or 87 runner with orange sliders and front bumper.

It was a 1.5" die.

Had a notcher type thing consisting of a hole saw and a clamp. I can't remember the name of it, but it worked well.

When ever you plan on doing it, let me know. I'll come by and lend a hand. John lives out in woodridge now so he's only 10 min. from ya and I'm out there at least once a week.

Looks pretty wicked. Tough angles to match, but you save on tubing. I bet that the old ladies won't park next to that in the Safeway's parking lot.... :D

I really dig the snorkel

looks cool....how did you paint it???

heh... If you see the tarp in the background, we pulled a tarp between the truck and the tubes and just sprayed the whole thing with rustoleum. It worked really well.

hey guys, thanks for the props. Bry and adam (traxman on pirate) kicked ass and really sped it up. Ive been drawing this exo for almost 2 yrs and I was amazed that we got it to look so good, and im confident it will take the beating.

The die we used was a 1.5 5.5 rad and I think a 120*

the nothcher is the jd2 I think, the jig for the drill press

I have a bunc of picks of it all cleaned and on the swampers. also of the roof Ill get working on them.

I was hoping you had a different die than mine so we could share. :D

I need to start on the piggy cage, but I'm waiting for the plasma and the TIG.

theres not much you need a plasma for. you should buy a 1.5" bit for that big mill in your classroom, that would make your life way easier. Notching was by far the worst part!!!

Will you be able to service the sunroof glass? If it breaks for some reason....
