2018 LC200 / 275/70/18 Kenda Klever R/T

RCTIP?

Kenda lists no ISO-Metric tires in that size.

Do you mean the LT-Metric LT275/70R18 125/122 R Load Range E tire?

If so, the RCTIP (Recommended Cold* Tire Inflation Pressure) for that tire on your LC200 is 41psi F/R.

*According to Toyota:

Tire Pressure vs. Tire Temperature

Tire temperature is dependent on “cold” tire pressure, driving distance and speed, ambient temperature and road surface temperature. As the temperature of the tire changes, air in the tire expands and contracts, changing the tire’s air pressure. The cold tire pressure for all Toyota models will vary and will need to be adjusted accordingly.

“Cold” tire pressure, as shown on the tire pressure label on our vehicles, is generally considered to be the pressure in a tire that has not been driven in the past 4 hours and has been parked outdoors.

I want to give a shout-out to @DirtNap. He has updated my database and made it more user friedly.

UPDATE #1: A disgruntled member keeps deleting portions of the database, so I had to remove the editing abilities for everyone. :meh:

For now, just submit your info via a reply to this thread or I.M. me, and I will update it myself.

Update #2: To anyone else who wants their info in the database: I am getting tired of people messaging me their tires, but do no seem to give me anymore info. Look at the database, and make sure you give me EVERYTHING that is listed. I am tired of trying to track down the rest of the info! From now on, if you fail to give the full description, I will ignore your post. No hard feelings, but... Also, if you have the exact same setup as another member that has already been posted, it is a little redundant to have it in the database. i.e. We all know that a 275/70 will fit just fine. I get that the more entries the better, but if the setup is clearly tried and true, its not going to do much good having it in the database. The only reason it would be useful, would be if you actually have rubbing on a setup where another member said he or she had no rubbing. If that is the case, then please me note of it when contacting me, or replying to this thread.

Original Post: I have seen many many threads titled "How big can I go?" and "What tire Size?" "Will it fit?" etc. Instead of trying to sort through everything, I decided to make a google doc to keep track of everything.

I think this will really help those who are trying to pick a tire and wheel for their 200. I included boxes for tire size, wheel size, manufacturer, mods, and general notes about your particular truck.

Maybe this is a stupid idea. Who knows; lets see if it catches on.

I will go ahead and enter info into the spreadsheet as I see it in various discussions. If you see your name on the list already, please do not be offended, and please feel free to update it as you deem necessary--especially if you see a "n/a".

I would also like to add, that if you do have rubbing, please note where the rubbing occurs (in the notes section), as we can make the spreadsheet more specific as we get more info.

Forgive me, I can't find the link anywhere for the database, all I'm seeing is 100 series. Don't hate on the newbie :D

My turn for a newbie question....

After reviewing the DB (thanks @MScruiser for this thread) and RTFF as much as possible, I haven't seen data for an LX running 285/70/17 or 285/75/17 +25mm and no lift.

So far, I've had one shop say that the 17" wheel may interfere with the calipers, and another shop say that a 33" tire won't fit without a lot of fender trimming and proposed a 2-3" lift first, but the LC seems to have no issue with either at stock height.

Anyone able to point me to a resource or have firsthand knowledge that definitively confirms fitment for the LX?

285/70/17 on a +25mm will fit no rubbing at all.
285/75/17 may have a little rubbing, but very easy to fix.

Both shops are clueless. 17" wheels fit fine, as long as they're designed for the Tundra/Sequoia/200, which pretty much all of them with this bolt pattern are. No lift needed, and frankly, wouldn't even help with clearance since the suspension will compress in use anyway.

I just put on Method 705 17x8.5 35 offset with BFG KO3s in 285/70/17. No trimming yet. Going to massage some plastic at some point and took off the little flaps. Fits great Bruiser. I might do a sensor lift, but I am leaning towards leaving it as a stock wagon. (For once in my life...)

Thanks Heckraiser for the feedback.

Considering these are two of the most highly rated and recommended Toyota/ Lexus overland shops in Atlanta, I expected tire fitment knowledge to be table stakes. Of course, they could also expect their customers to at least be able to pick out compatible tire sizes while they focus on the more complex upgrades. Either way, good opportunity for me to learn more.

KShorthairs, that looks slick. Is any trimming/ massaging required to prevent rubbing, or are you planning to do that for another reason?

To add to @Heckraiser points. The 17” TRD Forged wheel (aka Rock Warrior) is a ET50 wheel and comes stock with a 285/70R17. So Toyota bolted that on to LCs as a factory option on no lift. Anything that fits an LC generally fits an LX better.

I did have to take off the little flaps that are held on by 2 10s. Other than that, full lock has some minor rub. I am just going to do the usual heat gun massage to fix that and be done.

Hey guys, have a 13' LX I'm Gonna throw some 17" mr314's on this weekend or Monday, can anybody let me know if I need aftermarket lug nuts and which ones if so?

I just installed a new set of the K03 285/70 r18 without spacers and they fit with no rubbing. tight but no rubbing, even the KDSS. Have a small 1.5 lift.
Do you have pictures? Driving impressions? no rubbing on full lock? I'm currently running 295/65R18 Duratracs, and after 30K miles the noise is getting to be too much.. I have a 2" BP-51 lift with OME UCAs and 1" Bora spacers. I think the KO3 285/70R18s which spec in at 33.7" should fit fine as my Duratracs were 33.3" and had no rubbing. Would appreciate any additional details/observations you have running this size of the KO3.. Thanks.

I will try to get some pics this weekend with full lock. I am not running any spacers. No KDSS kissing or rubbing on full lock that i have noticed. Slight rubbing on the passenger mud flap. Previously running Michelin 275/70r18 AT-2s . Driving impression is pretty good on the BFGs, but no where close to as good as the AT2s. Honestly, if Michelin offered that tire in either a 285 or 295 / 70 variant, would buy over the BFGs for my purposes.

Thanks for the response @SCoutdoors. Appreciate if you could take a snap shot of the KO3s. Regarding the Michelin AT2s, they are great. I have them in my ‘03 tundra and I love them.
