Huh? Dozens of people run 285/65/18 ATs on stock Cruisers here.

I understand how it is easy to be left with that impression, but I'm not so sure it is accurate.

There is a lot of tire misinformation to wade through - not helped by folks using shorthand abbreviations for tire size or type which just confuses the message.

If the question is whether an LT-Metric LT285/65R18 tire will fit on a stock LC200 (NOT on an LX570) with no suspension modifications, and stock +60mm Offset 8 x 18 wheels, will experience any body and/or suspension interference or rubbing under all driving conditions... then the answer should be as specific.

I see a lot of answers that partially answer the question, but honestly I cannot recall any that accurately answered that question.

Can you point to any?

I have been considering going to LT285/65R18 tires on my "Summer" wheels (stock 8x18x60) for some time, but after reading most (if not all) the tire threads on IH8MUD, I'm still not confident that they will not rub on my stock 2013 LC200. If I had to buy the tires today, I'd stick with LT285/60R18 with the confidence that they would not rub.

New member with a 2021 Land Cruiser Base. I would like to move to 20” wheels. I’ve seen people exchanging with 2015 Lexus 570 20” wheels. Anyone running these wheels? Any suggestions in the 20” wheel options?

There’s been enough commentary in this thread alone about 285/65/18s fitting. There are even multiple threads dedicated to that size.....

OK, I read all the posts in the thread you linked to and... not a single post stating that LT285/65R18 tires on a stock 8x18x60 wheel fit with no rubbing.

Can you point to one?

I did see several posts from folks having no problems with LT285/60R18 tires, and 2 posts with LT285/65R18 tires on the HE wheels which have a different offset, but not a single endorsement for the fitment of LT285/65R18 tires on 8x18x60 wheels on a LC200.

S0... still waiting - can you point to one example?

The devil is in the details. Those HE wheels are NOT +60mm offset, so still not an example of LT285/65R18 tires on 8x18x60 stock wheels on a LC200.

Try again.

The heritage edition wheels are the same offset bud.

HTH!

Now you're just posting nonsense - Post#349 is talking about 18" Tundra wheels, not the HE wheels.

Try reading it again: Link to post 349

Yes, thank you, I have read that entire thread and did not find the post you had a screenshot of above.

To be clear, I am looking for a link to this post which you cited above:

Are you purposely being difficult? The screen shot is from a separate thread. I then linked a 20 page thread about the bronze heritage edition wheels and their offset. The details are in the 20 page thread......

Are you refusing to clearly cite your sources because they do not support your argument?

Just link to this post, please:

With all the nastiness in this thread i think some folks need to load up and get out for an adventure. All this keyboard work has made you a bit cranky.

Good advice - I'm outta here

Been following this thread from the time I started thinking about upgrading my tires on stock set-up. I thought it was gonna be 285/65. Then changed my mind to 275/70. Now I'm back to just getting 285/60 to keep the ride more comfortable while achieving a more aggressive look via the KO2s. The points & views shared here are all valid depending on where each is coming from. I'm confused! Man, I love this group! :)
Same here. Believe this information has led me to stick with stock and when replacement is needed I'll go with 285/60 Michelin LTS's, I will not need the off-road tire as much as I'd like to think I do.

Now, if someone can show me how to delete the chrome door strips...
