Huh? Dozens of people run 285/65/18 ATs on stock Cruisers here.
I understand how it is easy to be left with that impression, but I'm not so sure it is accurate.
There is a lot of tire misinformation to wade through - not helped by folks using shorthand abbreviations for tire size or type which just confuses the message.
If the question is whether an LT-Metric LT285/65R18 tire will fit on a stock LC200 (NOT on an LX570) with no suspension modifications, and stock +60mm Offset 8 x 18 wheels, will experience any body and/or suspension interference or rubbing under all driving conditions... then the answer should be as specific.
I see a lot of answers that partially answer the question, but honestly I cannot recall any that accurately answered that question.
Can you point to any?
I have been considering going to LT285/65R18 tires on my "Summer" wheels (stock 8x18x60) for some time, but after reading most (if not all) the tire threads on IH8MUD, I'm still not confident that they will not rub on my stock 2013 LC200. If I had to buy the tires today, I'd stick with LT285/60R18 with the confidence that they would not rub.
