Loving this simple, modest and clean build. That gold looks amazing as well when done right.
Thanks. The gold really looks great in the dirt and I thought the wife was crazy buying home depot dark bronze spray paint for the wheels, but as usual, she was right. Looks good.

How do you like that firepit? I bought one just like it off amazon and the wood burned terribly smoky and didn't want to stay lit. I imagine it was starved for O2 and I stacked the wood wrong. Any special technique for it?

As a BBQ it's great. Nice and compact. We've only used it as a fire a handful of times and haven't had issues. We tend to pull the grill off and stack dry wood on it for a fire after we're done cooking so there is a nice base of charcoal or natural coals left from cooking.

Recently found you guys on you tube and have been loving it!

Soda lake is dryer than I thought it would be. I was out that way a couple of weeks ago and would not have tried that then. Last Saturday, I was out at the Trona Pinnacles and then into Death Valley. Most dirt roads there are still closed secondary to flood damage.

You are right, the LC is a comfortable off-roader.

there was a portion of the trail that had a small “river” that created a mud pit that I had to deal with. I was alone so it was sketchy, some traction boards are now up on the list. 20psi allowed me to fly around 40mph in full comfort

I hear you about the traction boards. They are also on my short list, along with better lighting, slightly bigger tires and maybe a 1 1/2 inch lift or so. Thinking about the Bilstein setup and BFG KO2s in 285/65-18. With my Toyo AT3s in P285/60, I had my first off-road flat in 45 years out near the State Line Wilderness near what is now called "Primm". Thank the off-road God that I had my 26 year-old tire plug kit and the plugs still worked!

I've always liked the channel, but I find myself even more vested after the recent 200 acquisition. Keep the content coming!

After grabbing some groceries this morning I decided to go check out the chicken corners trail. Ended up taking a wrong turn and found myself on Kane Creek trail. This group of Jeep folks absorbed me into their group and were immensely helpful in getting me through the more difficult obstacles. I did complete the trail with some unplanned clearance modifications ;)
