My plan is to trim my rear bumper very similar to what you've done. Did you post anywhere what you did to it? Did you install steel tube or plate skids to further protect the remaining bumper & spare tire? (This is my plan.)
Those pics almost made me run out and buy that entire kit when they launched it lol.
No, I haven’t posted anything about it really. It’s just very similar to what @FlightMedic178 had done, but I have a body lift so it brings that up along the rear crossmember about 1 1/4”. Then I moved the trailer wiring plug up underneath, not in an easy to reach space, but since I don’t tow, I was trying to keep it protected for future use if needed. And I cut anything else off the bottom of the crossmember to keep it as smooth as possible. No tubing added yet. I just wanted the crossmember to be the first thing to hit rather than the Tupperware bumper. Of course, the corners are unprotected still but I figured trimming them up may help keep them out of harms way for a little longer until I can do a full bumper.
37” spare is inside since it doesn’t fit underneath.

Btw, with mine trimmed like this the lower corners behind the rear wheel are now unsupported and do flop around at highway speeds. I know it’s redneck but I’m ok with it for now. I have an idea for a solution but haven’t found the parts yet.
Oh! And I chopped off the resonator also
