A new gas 200 series is currently being built for a US client.

That single tire size, 305/65/18, couldn't be more perfect in my mind. Comfortably aggressive at ~33.6", with some sidewall beef to keep terrain off the wheel. Enough footprint and flotation to keep moving over the softest of stuff. It's effectively a 34x12.5 tire. I can't believe I don't see more people in that size tire.

Just in from the CO BDR / Summit in Ouray CO. Just a couple shots...

Not my Turtleback but the 200 towed it like a dream.

It's conjecture as I own a LX570 and run a somewhat different size. But having been on the boards awhile says this would not be too hard as a lot of people run analogous sizes (i.e. overall dimensions), and even larger sizes. 35" size takes more drastic measures like changing suspension geometry and limiting suspension travel.

The mods required would be pretty similar to an LC owner running a 285/75r17. That tire is 33.8" x 11.2". A 305/65/18 is 33.6" x 12.1".
Here's a good thread and related discussion by @linuxgod - 34's on stock setup - it's done, now some advice...

Steps:
1) Need offset ~35mm. If using stock 18s, that would mean run a 1" spacer.
2) Trim or pull forward the liner at the front of the wheel well.
3) At rear of wheel well, remove, trim, or reshape mud flap. Depending on the final offset and tire you choose, may need to bend a small bracket.

It's really that easy. Not much to it and none of that above is really all that drastic. People do a ton more to run larger tires on... sports-cars.

*No need for lift, though most people do for looks. Lift doesn't change the fact that you need clearance during articulation, so it's not a factor in creating clearance.
*No need for upper control arms. If you do, it's because you want a larger lift.

Agreed with the above.

The spots where you're likely to rub and have trouble doing anything about it are the PS sway bar and the DS KDSS arm. Those spots only rub at full lock, but if they do rub you have limited options aside from changing the wheel offset or fiddling with the alignment.

You may need a UCA with more clearance if you try to run this tire without spacers or lower offset wheels. I agree I wouldn't replace the UCAs unless you're lifting. FWIW it seems some lifted trucks with mild lifts >=2" need UCAs to get alignment specs right. Despite what my lift manufacturer said (UCAs aren't required), I could not get enough positive caster without UCAs.
