Snow levels should be 7-8000 feet until thursday. Then they drop to the Owens Vally floor.

Well I was going to wait to post this, but I’m too stoked to wait. I bought a brandywine/terra 2016 Land Cruiser, and it’s officially en route to Denver. It was the one in Minnesota that had horrible pics originally, but I worked with them to ensure it was clean and the undercarriage didn’t have rust. Well maintained with Toyota Care Plus, so it’s ready to start a new life in Colorado with us!

Sweet! Love that Terra interior. Are you going to be a 3 LC family for awhile or sell something?

Only 2 :) I’ll probably keep the LX because it’s a great truck and drives better than most new cars, and unfortunately I’ll probably sell the Tacoma. I wanted to love it, but I cannot get comfortable driving it. I have issues with my lower back, knee, Achilles and shoulder. I can’t drive the Tacoma for longer than about an hour without aggravating all of them, and that’s even after I took it to a custom upholstery shop and had upgraded foam installed in the seat. I drove it to work every day for a week and was having all these aches and pains, and then I drove the LX for 2 days and the pain was gone. The 200 has a way of spoiling you, and it fits me perfectly. I can drive to Moab, wheel all day for a couple days, and drive home without any aches and pains, so that’s why I decided to get back into one to build. I’ll be sad to see the Tacoma go because it’s a KILLER truck with the AT Habitat and about $50k in upgrades, but if I don’t drive it for comfort reasons there’s no point! Really looking forward to building up the 16 200!

Day 3 of ownership. All stock. The 3.5 hour drive from San Francisco Bay Area to Squaw Valley took 8.

3.5’ of snow in 24-hours

This was the 2016 for sale in Lancaster, Mass.

View attachment 1655383 View attachment 1655384 Swapped out the F-Sport 22"'s I bought it with for some BFGs on TRD Rock Warriors. Couldn't be happier. Will upload better pics whenever the sun comes out again.

Next step, figure out what to do with the Rock Warrior rings.
You just bought that? I think I saw that one for sale...mind posting asking versus the actual price you paid for the truck? Or via PM?

thanks! Trying to decide between an lx470 and 570...

Do you want to upgrade the suspension? Or will you be happy with the LX's AHC (height control...but limits what you can tweak & how)?

If you really want to tweak the suspension, go with LC.

I’m thinking the AHC will be fine for 99% of what I’d use this truck for. I’m just trying to decide between the 470 and the 570...

Ah. So a 100-based or 200-based? Gotcha.
If you don't plan major modifications, I think the 570 makes sense anyway. It's really a pretty amazing system, that AHC.

I had a 100 series for years, and was blown away by the increase in power moving to the 200. Like night and day. Both are sweet trucks. Hard to go wrong. :)

Until the sensors go out, compressor fails, etc etc......

Avoid. My $.02

hOOter

I'm an LC guy, so no AHC...but in its defense--To date, I have never heard of an AHC failure on a 570. I assume they've happened, but I've never heard any report that would lead me to believe they are common. In fact they seem almost non-existent. Have you heard of failures?

No I seem to be wrong (at least on the upgraded system). Earlier gx470 compressor based systems 3 of 3 in the family have needed significant repairs. Ass end of the truck would fall or tilt. Bottom line, in my latest purchase I went 200Seried LC to avoid altogether.
